You will also serve as a global subject matter expert for Sophos AI security solutions, helping customers and partners understand, evaluate, and secure the use of AI across modern environments.\nThe ideal candidate is equally comfortable leading executive-level technical conversations, advising SOC and security engineering teams, building labs and demonstrations, supporting proofs of value, and translating complex cybersecurity and AI concepts into clear business outcomes.\nWhat You Will Do\nMSSP Program Technical Leadership\nServe as the primary Solutions Engineer for Sophos’ global MSSP program and strategic partner opportunities.\nLead technical discovery, solution design, architecture workshops, demonstrations, and proofs of value with MSSP partners.\nHelp partners design and scale managed security services using Sophos Fusion and the broader Sophos cybersecurity portfolio.\nAdvise partners on service architecture, integrations, automation, operational readiness, and repeatable service delivery.\nAI Security Domain Leadership\nAct as a global subject matter expert for Sophos AI security solutions, including AI Defense and future AI offerings.\nLead demonstrations, workshops, and proofs of value that help customers and partners evaluate AI security risks and solutions.\nBuild hands-on AI security demos, lab environments, attack simulations, and repeatable technical evaluation methods.\nShare field and market insights with Product, Engineering, Product Marketing, and go-to-market teams.\nGlobal Leadership and Field Impact\nCreate reusable technical assets, enablement materials, service blueprints, and field-ready best practices.\nMentor Sales Engineers, partner engineers, and other technical stakeholders to strengthen global field capability.\nRepresent Sophos in customer briefings, partner events, webinars, technical communities, and industry forums.\nBuild trusted-advisor relationships with partners, customers, security leaders, and technical decision-makers.\nWhat You Will Bring\n8+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Security Architecture, security consulting, MSSP engineering, or a similar customer-facing cybersecurity role.\nExperience supporting MSSP sales, partner engagements, service architecture, or managed security service development.\nStrong knowledge of modern security operations, including MDR, XDR, SIEM, SOAR, endpoint security, cloud security, threat detection, incident response, and security integrations.\nDeep understanding of MSSP business and technical models, including the requirements for delivering repeatable services to multiple customers.\nStrong understanding of artificial intelligence, generative AI systems, AI application architectures, and the security risks associated with adopting and operating AI technologies.\nHands-on experience deploying, configuring, integrating, operating, and troubleshooting cybersecurity products and tools.\nExperience building labs, demonstrations, workshops, proofs of value, and technical validation environments.\nAbility to work with APIs, automation, cloud platforms, modern application architectures, Linux and Windows environments, networking, identity systems, and security telemetry.\nExceptional technical discovery, consultative selling, presentation, storytelling, demonstration, and written communication skills.\nProven ability to lead complex, cross-functional technical engagements with partners, customers, and internal teams across multiple regions.\nWillingness and ability to travel up to 50% across North America and internationally.\nNice to Have\nDirect experience working in a Security Operations Center, security engineering organization, incident response team, or cybersecurity leadership role.\nExperience designing, operating, or bringing managed security services to market.\nExperience with scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash, APIs, or similar tools.\nFamiliarity with cloud AI platforms, AI agents, model APIs, local or private models, open-source AI technologies, containers, Kubernetes, and DevSecOps practices.\nExperience speaking at industry events, publishing technical content, or representing an organization as a cybersecurity subject matter expert.\nRelevant cybersecurity, cloud, architecture, or AI certifications.\nExperience with Sophos technologies.\nWhy Sophos\nSophos helps organizations and service providers reduce cyber risk through an integrated portfolio of cybersecurity technologies, managed security services, threat intelligence, and expert-led security operations.\nAs a Global Solutions Engineer, you will help shape how MSSPs build the next generation of managed security services while contributing to emerging AI security solutions that help customers and partners adopt AI securely.
