This role will support the class leading NexGen ATMS Program to upgrade the operational system.\nDescription:\nIn this role you will work in an international multidisciplinary team focused on the Verification and Validation of the ATM solution in order to confirm compliance to requirements and the fitness for purpose in accordance with Operational Scenarios. You will be responsible for the design and execution of the procedures and scenarios.\nExpected Start Date: Q2 2027.\nResponsibilities:\nVerification of the solution to confirm the system’s compliance to the Functional Baseline requirements\nValidation of the solution to confirm the system’s fitness for purpose in accordance with the Operational Concepts.\nContribute in System Requirement Analysis activities to confirm requirements are testable and allocate a Verification Method(s) and Verification Phase(s), documented in the Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM).\nProactively participate in PI planning and backlog refinement including contributing to the effort estimation\nConduct of the verification and validation tests in accordance with the Project Plan(s) and Project Schedule at the program’s relevant location (Thales ’premises, supplier premises and/or customer premises)\nConduct of verification and validation tests during formal testing activities Acceptance Verification and Validation (AV&V) with the Customer.\nCommunicate with both internal and external stakeholders for the V&V testing activities.\nParticipate in System Requirement Analysis workshops, internally, with suppliers and with the Customer.\nParticipate in Test Procedure Reviews and Test Readiness Reviews, internally, with suppliers and with the Customer.\nReport regularly on the progress of the testing activity against the agreed planning and budget\nRecord the test results in the project Test Management System and any defects in the Defect Management System.\nContribute to the Defect CCB by providing summary defect status and impact assessments\nTrack and verify and validate defect corrections including regression testing.\nMaintain and retest test procedures as requirements are changed\nProduce Test Procedure Books and Test Reports.\nSupport your Squad members (software, integration and verification)\nSupport the Product Owner (PO) and Scrum Master (SM)\nMake recommendations on strategies to improve performance or productivity\nIdentify risks, and proposing effective solution early and executing mitigation actions\nProvide input into the planning and coordination of program integration activities\nContribute to the development of Policies, Processes and Procedures for the V&V activities best practice\nLeading Technical Working groups both internally and externally to define technical solutions\nMentoring and support to all personnel involved in V&V activities and contribute to succession plans for key V&V roles.\nContribute to the development of V&V Engineering estimates for any modification proposals to the baseline in the context of projects/bids\nWork in accordance with the defined processes and practices, and contribute to their improvement\n Qualification Requirement:\nDegree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline\nEssential Experience:\nTest Engineering / Test Analyst experience of large, complex, real time software based systems (5+ years)\nExperience in Air Traffic Management Verification and Validation Scenario design and execution\nATM experience in the following areas:\nAirspace\nCoordination\nATM HMI\nInterpartition\nAdaptation/Configuration\nExperience with Air Traffic Management standards eg. ICAO, Eurocontrol, AID\nApplication of domain knowledge to high value complex design, development and integration projects.\nProven experience in conducting objective reviews of verification and validation artefacts\nProven problem identification and analysis skills and system requirements analysis skills\nExperience in working in a multi-disciplinary integrated team environment\nA positive attitude combined with excellent interpersonal and motivational skills.\nSound judgement and independent decision-making capability where necessary\nExcellent written and oral communication skills in English\nDesirable:\nExperience in Air Traffic Management Operations\nExperience in System Engineering tools eg..Polarion, DOORs, Jira\nExperience in Verification and Validation Tools eg.
