You'll take complex, often ambiguous business problems and turn them into production AI systems used by real organizations.\nThis is a highly technical, customer-facing role. You'll work directly with business leaders and their teams to understand how they operate, identify opportunities for AI, and build the software to make those opportunities real. You'll work across the entire engineering stack, from AI systems and application development to backend infrastructure, integrations, and deployment.\nWe're a small, fast-moving team with high expectations. We move quickly, care deeply about the quality of our work, and give engineers the freedom to make important decisions. We're looking for someone who enjoys difficult technical problems, takes initiative, and wants significant responsibility from day one.\nWhat You'll Do\nYou'll embed directly with customers to understand their businesses, identify where AI can make a meaningful difference, and build systems that solve real problems.\nYou'll own engagements end-to-end, from discovery and technical design to implementation, deployment, and iteration. You'll make architectural decisions, write production code, navigate unfamiliar technical environments, and work closely with customers to deliver results.\nAs our first FDE, you'll also help shape engineering at Soren, making foundational technical decisions, building reusable infrastructure, and establishing practices that future engineers will build upon.\nResponsibilities\nOwn customer deployments end-to-end, from understanding business problems and designing solutions to building and maintaining production AI systems.\nDesign and build AI agents, full-stack applications, backend infrastructure, and integrations with enterprise systems.\nWork directly with customers, translating ambiguous requirements into technical solutions and making engineering decisions independently.\nProactively drive projects forward, solve difficult problems, and take responsibility for the quality and success of your work.\nHelp build Soren's technical foundation through internal tooling, reusable systems, and engineering best practices.\nYou Should Join If You\nAre an exceptional software engineer with strong technical fundamentals and experience building and shipping complex systems.\nLove solving hard technical problems, learning new technologies, and figuring things out when there's no obvious answer.\nGenuinely enjoy working with customers, understanding their businesses, and solving problems alongside them.\nAre highly proactive, resourceful, and independent.
