This position involves maintaining compliance with accounting principles, communicating effectively with team members and clients, and managing multiple tasks to meet deadlines while contributing to the firm’s success.\nYour Impact (Essential Duties):\nPerform accounting functions such as bank reconciliations, coding expenses, payroll and equity reconciliations, bill payments, and accounts receivable for multiple entities\nPrepare financial records for general tax preparation, 1099s, and tangible personal property returns\nCompile financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis based on client needs\nApply basic accounting principles and methods, including cash, accrual, and GAAP\nAnalyze accounting data with attention to big-picture implications and logical thinking\nCommunicate project statuses and questions effectively with team members and supervisors\nInteract with clients to gain a basic understanding of their financial affairs and needs, as directed by relationship managers\nParticipate in training and independent learning to enhance technical and professional knowledge\nManage time effectively to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple engagements\nContribute to team efforts by supporting colleagues and taking initiative when needed\nPerform other duties and display flexibility to take on a variety of responsibilities assigned by firm leadership \nMeet annual billable hour and other targets to fulfill individual performance and overall firm productivity\nYour Background:\nBachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred (Associate degree with relevant experience allowed)\nUnderstanding of basic accounting principles, including debits/credits, journal entries, and financial statements\nProficiency in learning and using accounting software and related tools\nStrong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration and client interactions\nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail\nAccurate mathematical and financial analysis skills\nAbility to follow procedures and deliver high-quality, reliable work\nAbility to work independently while proactively seeking support as needed to maintain efficiency and productivity\nFull-time or part-time commitment and flexibility to work beyond regular hours to meet team deadlines\nWhy Choose Us?\nAt Sorren, we’re invested in your growth-both personally and professionally.
