This position involves identifying and addressing inconsistencies, mentoring junior staff, and maintaining compliance with accounting principles while collaborating with clients and team members to achieve successful outcomes.\nYour Impact (Essential Duties):\nPerform, supervise, and review complex accounting tasks, including reconciliations, journal entries, coding expenses, bill payments, and accounts receivable for multiple entities\nOversee annual accounting procedures to prepare records for tax preparation, 1099s, and tangible personal property returns\nPrepare and review compilations on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis based on client requirements\nIdentify material misstatements and evaluate inconsistencies in financial reports\nPrepare client cash flow forecasts and monitor engagement performance against budgets\nAnalyze organizational structures and financial impacts to ensure accurate accounting\nTrain and review work for associates, providing constructive feedback to foster growth\nCommunicate effectively with team members and clients to address project statuses and inquiries\nContribute to team efforts through collaboration, volunteering support, and knowledge sharing\nParticipate in professional development through training sessions and independent learning\nManage multiple engagements and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines\nPerform other duties and display flexibility to take on a variety of responsibilities assigned by firm leadership \nMeet annual billable hour and other targets to fulfill individual performance and overall firm productivity\nYour Background:\n3-5 years of experience in general accounting\nCPA license or eligible (preferred)\nBachelor’s degree in accounting or related field\nStrong understanding of complex accounting principles, including GAAP and financial reporting frameworks\nProficiency in learning and using accounting software and related tools\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills for collaboration and client interactions\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail\nAccurate mathematical and financial analysis skills\nAbility to work independently while also coaching newer team members and seeking support from leadership as needed\nAnalytical thinking to identify and address inconsistencies in financial reporting\nDemonstrated problem-solving skills where solutions are proactively proposed to relevant parties\nProactive approach to delivering a high-quality customer experience in a multi-client environment\nFull-time commitment and flexibility to work beyond regular hours to meet team deadlines\nWhy Choose Us?\nAt Sorren, we’re invested in your growth-both personally and professionally.
