It has since broadened into intelligence analysis, logistics and base operations support, information technology and network engineering, and cybersecurity, working for defence, intelligence and federal civilian customers both in the United States and in deployed locations. Headquartered in Reston, Virginia and still family owned, it employs several thousand people, a large share of them holding security clearances.

Founded in 1989, SOSi is among the largest private, founder-owned technology and services integrators in the defense and government services industry. We deliver tailored solutions, tested leadership, and trusted results to enable national security missions worldwide.

SOS International LLC is seeking a skilled Facilities Manager to oversee the readiness, maintenance, and operational integrity of facilities that have been installed/built to specifically support federal public health emergency response missions. This role ensures SOSi warehouses, staging areas, operational spaces, and deployable facility assets remain safe, functional, and mission-ready at all times.

The Facilities Manager plays a critical part in sustaining national response capabilities, supporting logistics, deployment operations, and rapid mobilization during emergencies.

Duties:

Coordinates facility support during activations, including extended hours, emergency repairs, and environmental controls.
  • Asset & Infrastructure Management: Oversees facility infrastructure systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security, fire suppression). Manages facility-related equipment, tools, and material handling assets. Tracks facility conditions, maintenance schedules, and capital improvement needs.
  • Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination: Manages relationships with facility service providers, maintenance contractors, and utility vendors. Oversees service agreements, work orders, and performance of contracted facility support services. Ensures timely completion of repairs, upgrades, and inspections.
  • Safety & Compliance: Implements and enforces facility safety programs, emergency procedures, and hazard mitigation practices. Conducts routine safety inspections and ensures corrective actions are completed. Maintains documentation for audits, compliance reviews, and ASPR reporting requirements.
  • Planning & Administration: Develops facility management plans, maintenance schedules, and operational procedures. Supports budgeting, procurement, and resource planning for facility operations. Provides facility status updates, risk assessments, and recommendations to program leadership.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, business, public administration, industrial engineering, logistics, or related field.
  • 5 years experience in facility management, building operations, industrial maintenance, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, safety regulations, and facility compliance requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple facilities or complex operational environments.
  • Experience coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, and government partners.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • May have to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Secret clearance (depending on customer).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in warehouse operations, logistics facilities, or mission support environments.
  • Certifications such as CFM, FMP, PMP, or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting deployable or temporary facilities
