SOS International, known as SOSi, is a privately held American government services company founded in 1989 that began by supplying linguists and interpreters to the United States military. It has since broadened into intelligence analysis, logistics and base operations support, information technology and network engineering, and cybersecurity, working for defence, intelligence and federal civilian customers both in the United States and in deployed locations. Headquartered in Reston, Virginia and still family owned, it employs several thousand people, a large share of them holding security clearances.

Founded in 1989, SOSi is among the largest private, founder-owned technology and services integrators in the defense and government services industry. We deliver tailored solutions, tested leadership, and trusted results to enable national security missions worldwide.

SOSi is seeking a Technical Instructor to support mission requirements for a structured approach to further develop, integrate, and sustain a scalable, federated data ecosystem that enhances interoperability, governance, and mission-driven analytics for a DoD customer. The primary objective of the program is to bridge the operational gaps between DoD, IC, interagency, and non-traditional international partners to enable real-time information sharing, dynamic data integration, and mission-tailored analytical capabilities.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Responsible for developing and delivering advanced instruction to an expanded title authority program training audience such as title 10/50 Military Intelligence Program (MIP) and in areas such as:
    • ESRI Software and Geospatial Data Analysis
    • API-based data integration and request workflows
    • Jupyter Notebook-based data engineering and geospatial data layer creation
    • Metadata tagging, data stewardship, and catalog integration
    • OSINT analysis techniques and structured reporting workflows
  • Coordinates closely with the Training Coordinator to align technical content with approved training events and mission objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a training data tracking and reporting capability, under the direction of the Government, to support program performance visibility and strategic planning.
  • Provide dashboard inputs summarizing this data for Government approval on a bi-weekly basis (aligned with sprint reporting) and shall update the dashboard within 5 business days following the conclusion of each training event.
  • Document the planning, delivery, and evaluation of each training program purchased, including travel coordination, curriculum verification, and on-site logistics. A post-execution summary report shall be submitted within 10 business days of event completion.
  • Coordinate country clearances, travel arrangements, and liaison activities with sponsoring Commands, U.S. embassies, and partner nation representatives.
  • Facilitate graduation ceremonies, ensuring proper documentation of participant completion and skill mastery.
  • Implement post-training assessments and evaluations, gathering participant feedback and performance metrics to refine future training iterations.
  • Provide a comprehensive training impact report, detailing the effectiveness of knowledge transfer, skill adoption rates, and recommendations for program enhancement.
  • Administer post-training language satisfaction surveys to partner nation trainees, collecting quantitative and qualitative feedback on language accessibility, translation accuracy, and instructor communication.
  • Compile and analyze feedback data quarterly, identifying trends, deficiencies, and areas for improvement in multilingual training delivery.
  • Provide an annual report summarizing language feedback insights, corrective actions taken, and recommendations for improving multilingual training effectiveness.
  • Host remote training materials, provide access to self-paced learning modules, and facilitate sessions.
  • Track participant engagement in remote training materials.
  • Provide a quarterly report on remote training participation, knowledge retention rates, and areas requiring further improvement.

Minimum Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Intelligence Studies, Data Science, or a related field, or;
    • a minimum of five (5) years of equivalent experience in technical training, curriculum development, or applied instruction.
  • Expert-level knowledge in data engineering, geospatial analysis, and open-source intelligence (OSINT) methodologies.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in developing and delivering training on the use of Jupyter Notebooks, API integrations, metadata management, and structured data layer development.
  • Familiarity with secure data environments, role-based access controls (RBAC), and cataloging standards is essential.
  • Skilled in creating and adapting hands-on instructional content for technical users, including practical exercises that simulate real-world data processing, analysis, and visualization tasks.
  • Ability to coordinate with the Training Coordinator to align delivery with broader training objectives and ensure content is responsive to Government-directed priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required to facilitate documentation, post-training support, and dynamic engagement with both U.S. and partner nation personnel.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of OSINT methodologies, geospatial data analysis, or intelligence tradecraft, with practical exposure to ESRI ArcGIS, dashboard analytics, Jupyter Notebooks, or other mission-relevant tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting interagency collaboration, training program evaluation, or working with international or partner-nation personnel is desirable but not required for baseline qualification.
  • The position is suited for junior to mid-level professionals with strong instructional delivery skills and the ability to develop practical, scenario-based technical content.

Work Environment

  • Normal office conditions.
