As the sole organization designated by the U.S. government to administer the Section 114 sound recording license, SoundExchange seamlessly collects and distributes digital performance royalties from platforms like Pandora, SiriusXM, iHeartRadio, and thousands more, as well as all available international performance royalties through a strong global partnership network. \nTitle: Salesforce Developer\nDepartment: Technology\nJob Location: Washington, DC or anywhere (Continental US)\nReports To: Director, Engineering\nSupervisory Role: No\nFLSA Status: Exempt\n\nPosition Summary: \nSoundExchange seeks a Salesforce Developer to design, build, maintain, and enhance scalable Salesforce solutions and integrations that support account management and customer service operations.\nThe Salesforce Developer will translate business requirements into secure, maintainable solutions on the Salesforce platform; integrate Salesforce with existing systems; ensure data quality, reliability, and security; and provide ongoing technical support for production applications.\nThe ideal candidate combines hands-on Salesforce development and configuration experience with the ability to design complex solutions, collaborate with technical and business stakeholders, and support reliable applications in a production environment.\nEssential Functions:\nDesign, develop, configure, and deploy scalable Salesforce solutions that meet documented business and technical requirements\nParticipate throughout the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, development, code review, testing, documentation, deployment, and production support\nSupport, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance existing Salesforce applications to improve reliability, performance, usability, and maintainability\nDesign, build, document, monitor, and maintain secure integrations between Salesforce and other applications using APIs, web services, and event-based integration patterns\nCollaborating with stakeholders and other developers to identify and implement improvements for the system\nApply Salesforce security, privacy, and development standards, including appropriate access controls, secure coding practices, and protection of sensitive data\nCollaborating with integrated teams to ensure smooth data flow with minimal interruptions or disruptions\nRequired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs):\nProficient in Salesforce administration and development concepts, including Lightning Experience, Lightning Web Components, Flow, security and sharing, and platform configuration\nProficiency with Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, SOSL, Salesforce APIs, asynchronous processing, and declarative automation; familiarity with Visualforce for supporting legacy solutions\nUnderstanding of the Salesforce data model, including standard and custom objects, relationships, fields, data quality, data migration, and governance practices\nAbility to influence and communicate effectively with team members and business partners\nProficiency in Agile software development methodology, processes, and practices\nExperience with Salesforce testing and release-management practices, including Apex unit tests, automated regression testing, source control, code review, and CI/CD deployment pipelines\nKnowledge of Salesforce integration patterns, REST and SOAP APIs, authentication mechanisms, middleware, error handling, and integration monitoring\nExperience developing, integrating, or supporting Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions is preferred\nRequired Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience\n4 years or more years of experience in software engineering\nAt least 3 years of experience in Salesforce development\nADA SPECIFICATIONS:\nThis position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or seated) all of the time\nThis position requires the ability to spend all of the time viewing computer monitors\nTravel Requirements:\nIf hired remote, this person is expected to travel to the Washington DC corporate office as needed (2-4 times per year).\nPAY RANGE: $115,000.00 - $135,000.00 \nNote:\nThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the individual(s) assigned to this position.
