Flexibility to travel to Customer’s sites within Western Canada is a must (~20–25%) for on-site training and customer support.\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nTechnical & Engineering\nDevelop, optimize, and troubleshoot CNC machining processes (milling, turning, multi-axis)\nCreate CNC programs using CAM software\nDevelop and optimize CNC programs, including the use of parametric or Macro programming techniques where appropriate\nSelect tooling, workholding, and cutting parameters for optimal performance\nPerform cycle time analysis and process optimization\nSupport machine tool selection and application reviews\nCustomer Support & Training\nProvide technical support during pre-sales and post-installation phases\nSupport machine prove-outs, runoff, and commissioning\nDeliver customer training on CNC controls (FANUC preferred), including:\nMachine setup and operation\nCNC programming fundamentals and advanced features\nTroubleshooting and diagnostics\nBest practices for safe and efficient machining\nDevelop training materials and user documentation\nProvide ongoing customer support both on-site and remotely\nContinuous Improvement\nIdentify opportunities to improve machining efficiency, quality, and cost\nStay current with CNC control features, tooling advancements, and machining strategies\nDocument and standardize best practices\n\nREQUIREMENTS:\n3–7+ years of hands-on CNC machining and/or programming experience\nCanadian Red Seal Machinist (or equivalent experience)\nStrong knowledge of CNC controls & diagnostics (FANUC preferred)\nExperience with CAM software\nStrong understanding of machining principles (feeds/speeds, tooling, materials)\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T\nStrong analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills\nAbility to effectively train and support customers, operators, and technical personnel with varying degrees skill-levels\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nCustomer-focused with strong attention to detail\nSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively\n\nNICE-TO-HAVES:\nExperience with multi-axis machining (4-axis, 5-axis)\nExperience delivering formal or informal CNC training\nStrong familiarity with FANUC control features and diagnostics\nKnowledge of parametric programming or FANUC Macro B considered a strong asset\nExperience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\nTravel across Western Canada is required (~20–25%) for on-site training and customer
