This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical or industrial service background who enjoys leading people, solving problems, and keeping work moving efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment.\n\nAs Shop Supervisor, you'll be responsible for coordinating service work, supporting technicians, managing customer expectations, and ensuring repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nProvide day-to-day leadership and support to the Service Department (Electrical & Mechanical); working closely with technicians to troubleshoot issues, remove roadblocks, and support successful job completion.\nPlan and schedule service work, assign resources, and coordinate technician workloads to maximize efficiency and meet customer timelines.\nSupervise a team of skilled Service Technicians while fostering a safe, productive, and team-oriented work environment.\nEnsure service orders are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company procedures and quality standards.\nMaintain compliance with ISO requirements and company policies throughout the repair process.\nAct as a key point of contact for customers, providing updates and maintaining strong working relationships during repairs.\nOversee repair quotations and work closely with the Mechanical Department to support accurate job costing and scope development.\nReview completed work to ensure quality, efficiency, and customer requirements have been met.\nCollaborate with the Electrical Department Manager to maintain a smooth and efficient repair process across departments.\nDrive initiatives that improve shop organization, productivity, safety, and overall operational performance.\nParticipate in the on-call rotation as required & support a 24/7 operation where occasional overtime will be required.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nMinimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory, leadership, or lead-hand role within an industrial, manufacturing, service, or maintenance environment.\nRed Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) certification is considered a strong asset.\nStrong mechanical aptitude and a genuine interest in industrial equipment and technical applications.\nPositive attitude, strong work ethic, and a collaborative leadership style.\nProven ability to lead teams, prioritize work, and manage multiple jobs in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers, technicians, vendors, and internal teams.\nHighly organized with strong time management skills and a sense of urgency.\nDetail-oriented with a focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.\nExperience working within ISO quality systems is an
