This role is responsible for installing, configuring, testing, and supporting Access Control solutions while mentoring junior technicians and ensuring projects are delivered to quality, safety, and timeline standards.\nThe ideal candidate is highly technical, field-experienced, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently or as a site lead on complex installations.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead installation, configuration, and commissioning of Access Control systems in commercial and industrial environments\nPerform device mounting, low-voltage cabling, terminations, panel installation, and system programming\nRead and interpret construction drawings, risers, and scopes of work\nConfigure controllers, readers, door hardware interfaces, power supplies, and network connections\nPerform system testing, troubleshooting, and validation prior to customer acceptance\nServe as on-site technical lead when required, coordinating junior technicians and subcontractors\nProvide clear daily/weekly progress reporting to Project Management\nWork closely with PMs and Engineers to resolve field design issues\nMaintain accurate documentation including as-built drawings, labeling, and close-out materials\nEnsure installations meet manufacturer specifications, company standards, and applicable codes\nInterface professionally with customers, GCs, and other trades on site\nTravel to customer locations as required\nRequired Experience & Skills\n5+ years hands-on experience installing commercial Access Control systems\nStrong understanding of door hardware integration (mag locks, strikes, panic hardware, REX, contacts)\nExperience with controller panels and power distribution\nKnowledge of low-voltage structured cabling (CAT6, composite, RS-485)\nProven troubleshooting ability across hardware, cabling, network, and software\nAbility to independently complete installs from rough-in through commissioning\nComfortable working in construction environments and at height\nStrong communication and documentation skills\nExperience leading or mentoring field technicians\nPreferred Additional Qualifications\nExperience with CCTV integration\nBasic networking knowledge (IP addressing, VLANs, PoE)\nExperience with enterprise security deployments\nLift certification or willingness to obtain\nManufacturer certifications\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs\nAbility to climb ladders and operate lifts\nComfortable working in ceilings, tight spaces, and outdoor environments\nAbility to stand or walk for extended periods\nWork Requirements\nValid driver’s license with clean driving record\nAbility to pass background check and drug screening\nProfessional appearance and customer-facing demeanor\nWillingness to
