This is a hybrid role based in Guadalajara, Mexico, sourcing excess inventory from suppliers across Mexico, the US, Canada and LATAM. Join the energy and come be part of the momentum! \nAs a Senior Excess Buyer, you will play a crucial role on the Purchasing team. You’ll build relationships with OEMs, EMS providers and distributors, and turn their excess inventory into opportunities for our global sales team. \nOur goal is to have a sophisticated team equipped with expert technical skills in addition to keen business acumen. Sourceability is committed to a culture where we attract the best talent in the industry. \nInsight on your impact:\nProspect and develop supplier relationships with OEMs, EMS providers and distributors, and confirm product availability and terms of sale \nGrow your supplier accounts in revenue, gross profit and contact coverage \nReview excess BOMs (bills of materials) to find lower-cost opportunities for Sales and increase overall gross profit \nIdentify high-dollar parts and premium brands available on the market \nIdentify speculative buys on shortage and EOL/LTB product backed by confirmed customer demand \nReview product applications to uncover additional sales opportunities \nWork with Sales to fulfill orders on products sourced through your channels \nPrepare and process purchase orders, and review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance with company policy \nKeep account, contact and supplier information current in our ERP system, along with records of goods ordered and received \nTake on other duties as requested by your supervisor or company management \nYour qualifications, your influence:\nTo be successful in the role, you must possess the following skills \n3 to 5 years of experience in procurement, excess inventory, or semiconductor distribution \nStrong understanding of the electronics supply chain (OEM, EMS, distribution) \nProven ability in vendor prospecting and relationship development \nCommercial mindset with strong negotiation and closing skills \nAdvanced Excel skills (analysis, pricing, data handling) \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English \nSelf-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment \nPreferred skills and technical familiarity:\nAdding additional insight, and a growth mindset, will elevate your contribution in this role \nExisting network within OEMs, EMS providers or distributors in the region
