Migration Engineer with strong expertise in SQL, data profiling, data validation, reconciliation, data transformation, and migration activities.\nThe candidate should have strong hands-on experience with advanced SQL and relational databases, along with the ability to work with application, engineering, QA, and business teams to ensure accurate and reliable data migration.\nKey Responsibilities\nAnalyse source and target data structures, schemas, relationships, and business rules.\nPerform data profiling to identify data quality issues, duplicates, inconsistencies, and anomalies.\nDevelop and execute data migration strategies, scripts, and transformation processes.\nPerform data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and loading across systems/databases.\nWrite complex and optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, joins, CTEs, subqueries, and analytical queries.\nPerform data validation and reconciliation between source and target systems.\nTroubleshoot data discrepancies, migration failures, and performance issues.\nEnsure data completeness, accuracy, consistency, and integrity.\nDevelop validation queries and automated checks for migration testing.\nSupport ETL/ELT processes and data transformation activities.\nParticipate in migration testing, defect resolution, UAT, and production deployment.\nPrepare data mapping, migration, validation, and reconciliation documentation.\nCollaborate with developers, data engineers, QA teams, business analysts, and other stakeholders.\nAnalyse applications and databases to understand data dependencies and migration requirements.\nMonitor migration activities and identify potential data risks or issues.\nWhere required, support API integration and backend activities.\nMandatory Skills\n6+ years of relevant experience in Data Engineering, Data Migration, ETL, or Database Development.\nStrong hands-on SQL and database programming.\nHands-on experience in Data Migration and Data Transformation projects.\nStrong knowledge of Data Profiling, Data Validation, Data Reconciliation, and Data Quality.\nStrong experience with relational databases.\nAdvanced SQL including complex queries, joins, CTEs, subqueries, analytical queries, and stored procedures.\nStrong understanding of database structures, relationships, constraints, and data dependencies.\nExperience with ETL/ELT concepts and migration methodologies.\nAbility to troubleshoot data and SQL performance issues.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nGood to Have\nPython or other scripting languages.\nInformatica, Talend, SSIS, or similar ETL tools.\nAzure, AWS, or GCP data platforms.\nREST APIs and application-to-database integrations.\nFull-stack/backend development
