Power Platform Support, Testing & Deployment Engineer

The Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Power Platform Support, Testing & Deployment Engineer to join our growing technology team.

This role will focus on ensuring the stability, quality and successful delivery of Microsoft Power Platform solutions across both client and internal environments.

You will act as a key bridge between users, developers and project teams, providing application support, coordinating testing activities, managing deployments and helping to maintain high-quality Power Platform solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with experience supporting business-critical applications built on the Microsoft Power Platform.

Schedule: Monday to Friday | 8 AM to 5 PM | UK Time

Holiday: Will follow UK holidays

Key Responsibilities

Application Support & Incident Management

• Provide 1st and 2nd line support for Power Apps, Power Automate and Power Pages solutions.

• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve application incidents, defects and user-reported issues.

• Analyse root causes of recurring issues and work with development teams to implement permanent fixes.

• Monitor solution health, performance, integrations and automation processes.

• Maintain support documentation, knowledge base articles and troubleshooting guides.

• Liaise directly with business users and clients to manage support requests and expectations.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Create and maintain test plans, test cases and test scripts for new and existing solutions.

• Coordinate and execute functional, regression, integration and user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Identify, log, track and verify defects through to resolution.

• Support development teams in validating fixes and enhancements prior to release.

• Ensure solutions meet business requirements and quality standards before deployment.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and quality assurance practices.

Deployments & Release Management

• Support the planning, coordination and execution of deployments across Development, Test, UAT and Production environments.

• Manage Power Platform solution packaging and deployment using established release processes.

• Validate deployed solutions and perform post-deployment verification activities.

• Assist with release documentation, deployment schedules, rollback plans and change records.

• Support change management and ensure releases are delivered with minimal business disruption.

• Work with development teams to improve deployment automation and DevOps practices.

Platform & Process Improvement

• Analyse business processes and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency and user experience.

• Assist in documenting functional requirements for enhancements and change requests.

• Support governance, security and compliance activities across Power Platform environments.

• Keep up to date with emerging Power Platform features, best practices and Microsoft's release roadmap.

About You

Essential Skills & Experience

• Experience supporting business applications within Microsoft Power Platform environments.

• Knowledge of Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse and Microsoft 365 technologies.

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.

• Experience executing software testing and managing defect lifecycles.

• Understanding of application deployment and release management processes.

• Experience creating and maintaining test documentation and support procedures.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple support and testing activities simultaneously.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Experience with Azure DevOps.

• Understanding of CI/CD practices and deployment pipelines.

• Familiarity with SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams and Dynamics 365.

• Knowledge of Power Platform administration and environment management.

• Understanding of SQL, APIs and system integrations.

• Experience working within ITIL, support or service management environments.

• Exposure to automated testing methodologies and test management tools.
