Bring your talents to a new streamlined energy company, dedicated to operational, commercial and safety excellence as we pursue our critical purpose of delivering the energy people need.\nThe Opportunity:\nSouth Bow is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-op Student beginning January 2027 for a 4 month work term to support the Facility Integrity & Reliability team through data management, technical documentation, inspection program support, and engineering project coordination activities.\nWhat You'll Do:\nValve Management and Reliability\nDevelop a comprehensive critical valve dashboard linking:Drawings\nSpare parts\nMaintenance history\nInventory status\n\nImplement a valve usage tracking and notification process to:\nTrack operation and maintenance history\nTrigger inspections and follow-up actions\nImprove lifecycle management\nAutomate valve and PCV inspection analytics to provide proactive alarming and emerging risk identification.\nFacility Integrity Data Management\nUpdate Visions smallbore component records with missing equipment descriptions required for inspection work packages.\nAdd missing location descriptions to process piping and smallbore components within Visions.\nUpload and manage historical inspection reports, engineering assessments, and Fitness-for-Service (FFS) reports in Visions.\nEnter and verify tank integrity static data, inspection reports, and historical inspection recommendations.\nUpdate recommendation status tracking and ensure data consistency across integrity systems.\nConsolidate and organize integrity information from project folders, network drives, and document repositories into centralized records.\nMechanical Inspection Program Support\nReview PSV test reports and document findings.\nReview annual fire system testing reports and generate action item tracking lists based on recommendations.\nReview environmental inspection reports and verify that recommendations are properly captured and tracked.\nSupport quality assurance reviews of inspection records and asset history documentation.\nMinimum Requirements:\nMust Be actively enrolled in a post-secondary education program focused on Mechanical or Materials Engineering.\nMust actively be a part of your institutions Co-op program.\nMust provide transcripts upon application.\nAbout our business\nSouth Bow's existing oil & liquids pipeline infrastructure connects Alberta crude oil supplies to U.S. refining markets in Illinois, Oklahoma, Texas and the U.S. Gulf Coast.We remain committed to meeting the energy needs of North Americans today, while advancing our Liquids Pipelines System for the demands of the future.
