Located in northwest Queensland, Cannington boasts an underground mine and processing facility situated approximately 800 kilometres west of Townsville and a concentrate handling facility at the Port of Townsville.\nFlights are direct to the onsite airport, and the mine is only 3.5 km from camp-the perfect distance for a sunset walk or run home along a purpose-built walking track. The onsite accommodation includes meal services, sports/gym facilities, swimming pool, music room, and social area.\nWHAT SOUTH32 OFFERS\n26 weeks full-paid, or 52 weeks half-paid parental leave for primary carers\n14% superannuation contributions \nAnnual short-term incentive bonus that recognises both your individual performance and the overall success of the business \nABOUT THE ROLE\nThis permanent role offers a 8:6 roster, with FIFO options from Brisbane or Townsville and DIDO from Mount Isa, Cloncurry and McKinlay Shires.\nAs the Coordinator Processing Services, You will be responsible for coordinating the planning, delivery and performance of processing support services to enable safe, reliable and efficient operations.\nOther key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:\nCoordinate contractor work plans, resource allocation and compliance with site standards.\nManage water treatment, dewatering and wet season preparedness to meet environmental obligations.\nOversee spillage recovery, minor works and tailings-related activities.\nMonitor budgets, review contractor claims and implement service improvements.\nABOUT YOU\nYou will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:\nMineral processing or mining operations, with contractor management experience. \nEarthworks, materials handling and water pumping. \nTeam leadership, coaching and development to support engagement and inclusion. \nClear communication, collaborative decision-making and productive stakeholder relationships.\nQualifications for this position are:\nClass C driver’s licence\nSouth32 is committed to building and maintaining an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the communities in which we operate.
