You will partner closely with contractors and the Project team to align with environmental, health, safety, and loss control standards while fostering a collaborative and transparent work environment.\nIn this role, you will contribute to operational readiness, support mine planning integration, and ensure quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) processes are effectively implemented; and perform other duties as assigned. . This is a site-based role located at the Hermosa Project near Patagonia, Arizona.\nOther key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:\nProject Execution & Coordination\nEnsure construction activities are executed in accordance with S32 environmental and community relations policies\nCoordinate the construction engineering program, including communication between S32, engineers, and contractors\nExtract and interpret data from plans, engineering reports, and specifications to support contractor execution\nCoordinate the preparation and revision of technical work procedures aligned with project requirements\nContractor & Risk Management\nSupport sourcing strategies for major work packages\nCoordinate contractor risk assessments in collaboration with internal teams and consultants\nManage construction contracts and vendor service performance\nLogistics, Planning & Controls\nCollaborate with Project Services to coordinate material and equipment deliveries\nEnsure proper implementation and documentation of care and preservation requirements\nAssist with annual budget preparation in partnership with the Project Controls team\nMonitor VDC and BXP performance metrics using approved systems\nSafety, Compliance & Quality\nPromote a strong safety culture through visible field leadership\nEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as industry standards\nSupport QA/QC processes to ensure construction quality and reliability\nParticipate in site Quality Circles and continuous improvement initiatives\nLeadership & Collaboration\nTrain, mentor, and evaluate team members, providing feedback for development\nBuild strong relationships across teams with a focus on collaboration and alignment\nSupport a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work environment\nABOUT YOU\nYou will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technical Degree (Construction or Similar) and appropriate Trade qualifications; OR experience in lieu of degree\n3 years of supervisory experience in mining or mine site construction management preferred\nExperience managing and coordinating project logistics\nExperience managing construction contracts and vendor services contracts\nProven track record of developing and maintaining a safe work culture\nExperience with Building Information Management systems\nDemonstrated experience implementing Environmental Compliance obligations\nVisible field safety leadership and an ability to drive safety and performance excellence\nKnowledge of construction and trade practices\nRelationship building skills: demonstrated empathy, emotional intelligence and cross-cultural effectiveness with the ability to achieve consensus and build alignment cooperatively\nSouth32 is committed to building and maintaining an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the communities in which we operate.
