This role will work a rotating schedule. This role is based at the Hermosa Project site, near Patagonia, Arizona.\nIndividual Accountabilities:\nHighly skilled workers in the electrical craft. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the removal, repair, installation, troubleshooting, & diagnosis of electrical systems. Employee may mentor or train other electrical employees. Employee will work under minimal supervision where the primary objective is safe production.\nRemoval, repair, installation, troubleshooting and diagnosis of electrical systems for process optimization.\nAbility to perform installations and renovations compliant with regulatory agency standards.\nFollows Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and work area instructions, participates in safety and environmental activities, always uses plant and equipment correctly.\nABOUT YOU\nMinimum of four (4) years’ experience in industrial electrical repair and maintenance; OR\nAssociate degree or Trade School Certification in the related field and two (2) years’ experience performing maintenance and repair of electrical systems.\nExperience with programmable logic controls (PLC), motor controls circuits, instrumentation installation & calibration. (Preferred) \nCompletion of an approved certified program for instrumentation/control system, electronics, & electrical; (Preferred) OR\nElectrical license/MSHA Electrical Certification Electrical license/MSHA Certification. (Preferred) \nExperience working with low and medium voltages.\nExperience with diagnostic electrical test equipment\nExperience with AC and/or DC controls\nElectrical license/MSHA Electrical Certification Electrical license/MSHA Certification.\nStrong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, interacting with diverse functional and cultural backgrounds.\nStrong analysis and problem-solving skills.\nStrong decision-making skills.\nStrong planning and organizing skills.\nAbility to interpret electrical drawings.\nMust be able to work 12 hours rotating shifts, including a combination of nights, days, and weekends.\nSouth32 is committed to building and maintaining an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the communities in which we operate.
