Located in northwest Queensland, Cannington boasts an underground mine and processing facility situated approximately 800 kilometres west of Townsville and a concentrate handling facility at the Port of Townsville.\nFlights are direct to the onsite airport, and the mine is only 3.5 km from camp-the perfect distance for a sunset walk or run home along a purpose-built walking track. The onsite accommodation includes meal services, sports/gym facilities, swimming pool, music room, and social area.\nWHAT SOUTH32 OFFERS\n26 weeks full-paid, or 52 weeks half-paid parental leave for primary carers\n14% superannuation contributions \nAnnual short-term incentive bonus that recognises both your individual performance and the overall success of the business \nABOUT THE ROLE\nThis permanent role offers a 4:3 roster, with FIFO options from Brisbane or Townsville and DIDO from Mount Isa, Cloncurry and McKinlay Shires.\nAs the Logistics Officer Processing, you will be responsible for coordinating the Processing Department’s administrative and logistical activities to support efficient operations and effective governance.\nOther key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:\nCoordinate recruitment, onboarding, contractor mobilisation and training compliance.\nCompile budgets, forecasts and cost reports; track expenditure and purchase orders.\nAdminister management of change, document approvals and compliance action registers.\nOrganise departmental travel, meetings and reporting packs; improve administrative workflows.\nABOUT YOU\nYou will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:\nProficiency in Microsoft Office and 1SAP; SharePoint experience preferred. \nStrong organisation and attention to detail across competing administrative priorities. \nClear communication and collaboration with contractors, leaders and support teams. \nApplication of workplace safety, health and environmental principles and procedures.\nQualifications for this position are:\nClass C driver’s licence\nSouth32 is committed to building and maintaining an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the communities in which we operate.
