Located in northwest Queensland, Cannington boasts an underground mine and processing facility situated approximately 800 kilometres west of Townsville and a concentrate handling facility at the Port of Townsville.\nFlights are direct to the onsite airport, and the mine is only 3.5 km from camp-the perfect distance for a sunset walk or run home along a purpose-built walking track. The onsite accommodation includes meal services, sports/gym facilities, swimming pool, music room, and social area.\nWHAT SOUTH32 OFFERS\n26 weeks full-paid, or 52 weeks half-paid parental leave for primary carers\n14% superannuation contributions \nAnnual short-term incentive bonus that recognises both your individual performance and the overall success of the business \nABOUT THE ROLE\nThis is a permanent opportunity offering a 4/3 roster, FIFO from Townsville or Brisbane.\nAs the Senior Project Lead Electrical You will be responsible for leading a program of EIC capital and operational works, guiding project teams to deliver safe, cost-effective and fit-for-purpose outcomes from concept through to handover and close-out.\nOther key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:\nChampion a safe culture aligned with South32 values and critical controls \nGovern tollgate submissions, project changes and framework compliance \nControl budgets, schedules, cash flow, risks and monthly program reports \nBuild stakeholder partnerships and support a high-performing project team\nABOUT YOU\nYou will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:\nExtensive project leadership experience within brownfield resources environments \nProven oversight of large, concurrent project portfolios and complex priorities \nStrong EIC technical knowledge, with remote project delivery experience \nEffective stakeholder, team and supplier leadership across project lifecycles\nQualifications for this position are:\nEngineering degree or equivalent tertiary qualification \nProject management qualification, desirable\nSouth32 is committed to building and maintaining an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the communities in which we operate.
