This role oversees material delivery, offloading processes, and end-to-end logistics coordination for both owner- and contractor-procured materials.\nThis position plays a critical role in ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective logistics operations across domestic and international supply chains. This role is based at the Hermosa Project site, near Patagonia, Arizona.\nOther key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:\nDevelop robust business process for management of inbound & outbound logistics aligned with South32 Standards and Policies utilizing both 3PL and 4PL contractors.\nOwn & manage Risks associated with Inbound / Outbound Logistics both Domestic and International\nMonitor completeness, accuracy, and compliance during transactions.\nLead and supervise logistics team, resolving problems, conducting training, and setting schedules.\nCoordinate and define required expediting-tasks for all placed purchase orders\nManage and coordinate all owner and contractor supplied OS/OW loads.\nDevelop process to track, audit, and ensure adequate supply of materials throughout the organization.\nOversee the creation of detailed reports on delivery schedules, tariffs, invoicing, bussing, permitting and define team KPI’s.\nDevelop and manage contracted third party logistics provider for inbound logistics.\nDevelop and manage outbound concentrate logistics across multiple interfaces (Rail, Trucking, Ports, Customs)\nDevelop and manage concentrate container optimization.\nAssist in the development of site traffic management plan.\nCoordination & facilitation of offloading, storage damages, shortage, and returns of all owner procured materials\nWork with HR and Operational Readiness to recruit and ensure the proper training of logistics personnel\nManage employee bussing program, Contractor KPI’s, and associated risks.\nManage scheduling of contractor provided transportation.\nPerforms other related duties as assigned.\nEnsure the company’s code of business conduct, health, safety, and sustainability values are communicated and adhered to by our vendors and service providers.\nABOUT YOU\nBachelors degree in Business or related field\nFive (5) or more years of project, construction, or mining industry logistics or related supply chain areas.\nExtensive experience within major projects or high volume inbound deliveries.\nExperience owning and managing material risk\nASCM Logistics Management or similar certification desirable.\nProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, SAP or other ERP systems\nMaintain high standards of professional and ethical conduct\nStrong English language written and oral communication skills\nEffective communication with other departments and leadership\nProven track record of developing and maintaining a safe work culture\nAbility to work under pressure, maintain composure, set priorities, and work with a project team\nSouth32 is committed to building and maintaining an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the communities in which we operate.
