This involves managing the daily cash positioning of the company, managing the banking relationships, lines of credit, cash forecasting and working capital management. The position is also responsible for supporting reporting needs from Treasury Operations.\nJOB REQUIREMENTS:\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field. \nMinimum 5 years of experience in Treasury, Finance, or Accounting required\nMust have 2 -3 years of experience leading, coaching, or directing the work of others. \nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. \nEffective verbal and written communication skills. \nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications. \nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines. \nKnowledge of cash positioning, liquidity management, banking services, and financial controls. \nAbility to build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and banking partners.\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy.\nSupport management and help guide direct reports through driving automation and transformation initiatives.\nHands-on experience with Kyriba TMS (cash, payments, bank account management) is a plus.\nAbility to leverage technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve operational efficiency, reporting accuracy, documentation, and business processes.\nMAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:\nManage banking accounts and relationships with 6-8 banks ranging in size from small community banks to large money center banks. Includes negotiating bank fees.\nMeeting with bank officers.\nResolving issues between internal stakeholders and banking partners.\nDiscussing new Treasury products and services in the marketplace and bringing back suggestions to management.\n\nWorking as a part of the management team to provide oversight of Treasury Operations services for Southern Company and its subsidiaries. Cash Concentration from smaller banks to aggregate cash.\nDetermining Cash Position.\nMoving aggregate cash to various accounts to settle cash position.\nMaking various large dollar payments such as:Debt \nPayroll/PPP\nSCS Intercompany \nTaxes\nLease\nInvestment/CP transfers\nCredit Facility\nOther requests as needed\n\nMaintaining General Ledger treatment for cash transactions.\nDaily balancing and reconciliation of cash transactions.\nDaily reporting of cash and liquidity position (including bank balances, investment balances, CP outstanding and available credit). \nReviewing Accounts Payable payment registers to ensure files are submitted correctly to the banks.\nMake check deposits. \nProvide daily activity files to Account Recon for their reconciliation process.\nNotify Accounting of incoming receipts, as well as other various reports.\n\nLead support on reporting requests for Treasury Operations \nWorks with management team to delegate ad hoc reporting requests to analystsWorks with treasury and other subsidiaries to develop and implement new reports as needed\nProvide month-end journals for treasury items.
