We’re looking for an Analytics Engineer to help build the trusted, well-modelled data that everything else in the function depends on.\nThis is a technical role for someone who wants to get hands-on with how data flows through an organisation: building the models, applying good engineering practice, and turning raw data into datasets people can trust and act on.\nAbout the role\nReporting into the Innovation & Advanced Analytics Lead, you’ll design, build and maintain the dbt models that transform raw data into the analytics-ready datasets the business runs on - the layer between the data warehouse and the people who use it every day.\nYou’ll work closely with data engineers to structure source data effectively, and with analysts and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions - supporting Power BI and other reporting tools with curated, governed datasets.\nThis function is still being built, so you’ll help embed good practice as it grows - testing, documentation, lineage and code review - while exploring new capabilities across Snowflake, dbt and the wider modern data stack.\nWhat you’ll do\nDesign, build and maintain analytics data models using dbt and Snowflake\nDevelop incremental and dimensional models that are scalable, performant and easy to understand \nApply software engineering practices, including Git, code reviews, CI/CD and automated testing \nMonitor data quality and investigate issues to keep our data assets trusted and reliable \nOptimise Snowflake storage and compute usage to balance performance and cost \nCreate and maintain documentation, metadata and lineage for data products \nCollaborate with data engineers to ingest and structure source data effectively \nPartner with analysts and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions \nSupport Power BI and other reporting tools with curated, governed datasets \nBuild trusted data products that power advanced analytics and AI solutions \nWhat you’ll bring\nExperience building and maintaining analytics solutions using Snowflake and dbt, or other equivalent tools\nStrong SQL skills and a solid understanding of data modelling principles, including dimensional modelling and medallion architecture \nExperience with Git-based development, CI/CD and software engineering practices \nThe ability to translate business requirements into scalable, reusable data products \nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail \nA curious, continuous-learning mindset - always looking to improve quality, speed and simplicity \nA collaborative style that values knowledge sharing and team success \nCommitment to quality, documentation and operational excellence \nThe ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences \nWhy join us\nWe’re investing - in people, in technology, and in the mission.
