In addition, these positions will maintain plant maintenance records in the Maximo® computer-based work order system and ensure all work complies with environmental permits and regulations. The incumbents are expected to perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for their personal safety and the safety of other employees.\nJOB REQUIREMENTS:\nEducation Requirements:\nHigh School Diploma-desired \n2-year technical degree in electrical field or equivalent training-prefer \n\nExperience Requirements:\nTwo years’ experience as Journeyman Electrician or equivalent experience Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities \nPlace safety first by performing and maintaining every job every day safely - Ability to read and follow procedures and electrical drawings/prints is required \nKnowledge to troubleshoot electrical circuits/controls using prints is required\nKnowledge to test equipment is required\nSelf-starter with the ability to work with little to no direction as well as possess an ability to follow directions when required \nAbility to use and understand various electrical test equipment (e.g., multimeter, amprobe, meggar, etc.) is required\nAbility to use powered and non-powered hand tools proficiently is required\nAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions is required.\nExcellent communication and problem-solving skills are required.\nAbility to plan work to maximize production requires basic electronics, instrumentation, program configuration, distributed/process control systems, PLC's, and DCS, and is preferred. \nFundamental knowledge of motors, controllers, switchgear, relays, transformers, generators, and AC/DC systems is required. \nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office computer applications is desired \nOther Requirements:\nQualifying on pre-employment tests is required, including an aptitude test, a Journeyman electrician knowledge test, a Journeyman electrician performance skills test, and a physical abilities test. \nAbility to perform physically demanding activities (i.e., walking, climbing ladders, lifting heavy equipment) while working safely in all types of weather.\nSupport a 24/7 schedule, including holiday and backshift work, when necessary.\nBEHAVIOR ATTRIBUTES:\nHonesty, respect, fairness, and integrity drive your behavior. \nKeep your promises, and ethical behavior is the standard.\nIf this job is determined to be a critical job, limitations for transferring internally within the Company may apply for a set period of time.
