This role primarily supports the corporate areas.This position requires strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to work closely with business unit leaders to analyze and assess potential financial risks and opportunities.\nJob Responsibilities & Accountabilities by Competency\nFunctional Expertise:\nProvide monthly variance reporting, trending, projections, presentations, and ad-hoc analysis to support FP&A leadership and the business leaders of the supported organizations\nParticipate in the monthly close process including preparation of accruals, journal entries, reconciliations and other normal closing responsibilities as needed\nServe as the financial lead for the business as related to the annual budget process, quarterly forecasts, and periodic internal reporting for the organization\nWork closely with business area leaders to achieve desired financial and operational results\nAssess financial performance against target, including risks and opportunities to the plan\nPerforms financial and ad-hoc analysis as requested including monitoring full income statement including margin, operating expenses, other income and net income\nWorks with business and FP&A leadership to evaluate and manage requests for additional funding throughout the fiscal year\nBusiness Acumen:\nAnalyzes financial and non-financial data to help drive business decisions\nArticulates results, variances and key drivers effectively\nUnderstands financial accounting standards and procedures and is comfortable with accruals, journal entries and reconciliations\nDevelop recommendations and alternatives to meet objectives\nDemonstrates knowledge of the business and industry in analyses\nEngagement:\nFosters relationships with managers, peers, customers and is a team player\nCommunicate effectively with all levels of business\n\nInfluences business decisions by sharing analyses and expertise\nDriving Results:\nMonitors results versus plan and work with business leaders to achieve desired results\n\nIdentify process and/or profit improvements\n\nQualifications\nRequired Education:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent. A professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA) or MBA is preferred.\n\nPreferred:\nFamiliar with the preparation of General Ledgers, Basic Knowledge of FASB requirements, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles\n\nKnowledgeable on financial principles such as net income, earnings per share, cash flow analysis, and revenue requirements\n\nWorking knowledge of financial management information systems and tools\n\nDemonstrated strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and strategic focus\n\nCommunicate with stakeholders in a clear and concise manner - demonstrates organizational savvy\n\nDemonstrated ability to uphold confidentiality\n\nCommitment to continuous personal development and process improvement\n\nExperience with Microsoft Office Suite with proven focus on Excel and PowerPoint\n\nAbility to work proactively, independently and in a team environment\n\nRelated Work Experience:\nRequired:\nFinancial Analyst II\n2-4 years of experience in financial planning, financial analysis, regulatory planning, and/or accounting or related fields\n\nFinancial Analyst III\n4-6 years of experience in financial planning, financial analysis, regulatory planning, and/or accounting or related fields\n\nFinancial Analyst, Senior\n6-8 years of experience in financial planning, financial analysis, regulatory planning, and/or accounting or related fields\n\nApplicants may possess a combination of equivalent education and work experience.\nWorking Conditions/Physical Requirements:\nHybrid work environment.
