The ideal candidate will have a robust background in lighting technologies and customer account management, along with a proven track record in sales across various industries. As a Lighting Sales Representative, you will work under the direct leadership of the Lighting Services Sales Supervisor, contributing to the achievement of sales goals and the design of customer-driven lighting systems. Your ability to understand customer needs and translate them into effective solutions will be key to your success in this role, regardless of your prior industry experience.\nIf you are selected as the successful candidate, you acknowledge that storm support is a requirement for all roles at Mississippi Power. This includes working during storm restoration efforts and outside of normal business hours as needed.\nKey Responsibilities:\nAnalyze lighting systems and solutions to optimize performance and efficiency.\nMeet or exceed sales targets and deliver excellent customer service.\nEvaluate customer needs and provide recommendations for custom lighting solutions.\nConduct research and stay updated on industry trends and new technologies.\nPrepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.\nAssist in the development and implementation of lighting projects.\nWork closely with the Lighting Services Sales Supervisor to ensure alignment with sales strategies and customer value initiatives.\nEstablish and maintain strong customer relationships.\nDesign, construct, and maintain street and area lighting systems, including distribution system components and operation.\nEnsure lighting contractor is adhering to current contract requirements.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nDemonstrated “face to face” selling experience and proven sales results preferred.\nExceptional communicator, accomplished problem solver, skilled negotiator, and strategic thinker.\nAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment.\nExcellent communication and presentation skills.\nExperience in customer account management or a similar role.\nExperience in project management.\nExperience in utility construction (NEC, NESC).\nExperience working with municipal customers desired.\nProficiency in design tools and Microsoft Office products.\nKnowledge of energy efficiency standards and regulations is a plus.\nBachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Engineering, Finance, or a related field is a
