Responsibilities include working closely with various TSS departments as well as other Southern Company groups to develop deliverables to support project development activities. Work products include developing project scope, schedule and cost estimates for the engineering, procurement, construction, and start-up of new generation projects.\nEXPERIENCE\nOpen to considering all levels of experience, provided you meet the basic qualifications as outlined below.\nEducation & Job Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, applied science, or related technical field is required\n\nAdvanced degrees in Business and Management are a plus\nPlant, project, and/or construction management experience preferred\nExperience on capital projects, developing scopes of work, schedules, and estimates strongly preferred\n\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:\nKnowledge of various technologies applicable to current new generation projects\n\nKnowledge of construction standard practices, techniques, quality requirements, applicable codes, and standards.\nAbility to coordinate and build strong working relationships with a wide range of Southern Company Generation organizations\n\nKnowledge of construction contracts and labor agreements.\nAbility to interface with contractors, designers, vendors, and other parties connected with the project.\nAbility to manage multiple concurrent projects independently with little oversight\nAbility to accurately appraise technical situations and recommend resolutions to problems.\nInterpersonal, communication, and strong leadership skills.\nBehavioral Attributes:\nMust possess strong work ethic and personal accountability \nThe ability to work effectively in a team setting\nConsistent demonstration of Our Values behaviors -
