Through collaboration, influence, and business partnership, this position connects project goals with workforce readiness needs while supporting training delivery, user adoption, and continuous improvement across the organization.\nThe selected candidate may work out of Georgia.\nThis position follows a hybrid work schedule. Employees are required to work in the office four (4) days per week.\nThis role leads and coordinates training initiatives within the GAS Enterprise Asset Management (MATRiX) program, ensuring alignment with program objectives, business priorities, and workforce readiness needs. The Project Manager serves as the Training Lead within the Organizational Readiness workstream and partners with technical training teams, business stakeholders, subject matter experts, project teams, vendors, and implementation partners to support successful training delivery, user adoption, and continuous improvement in a hybrid Agile environment.\nLead training coordination for the MATRiX initiative, including training needs, activities, deliverables, and readiness requirements across project workstreams and impacted business areas.\nPartner with the Southern Company Gas Technical Training Manager and MATRiX Organizational Readiness Manager to align training strategy, readiness milestones, communication plans, and implementation timelines.\nCoordinate with program workstreams, subject matter experts, instructional designers, business stakeholders, vendors, and implementation partners to validate training content and support an integrated training approach.\nManage the development, review, and maintenance of training materials, job aids, facilitator guides, learning plans, training documentation, and related resources.\nMonitor training deliverables, schedules, milestones, risks, dependencies, action items, and completion tracking to ensure project commitments are met.\nIdentify audience impacts, training gaps, adoption risks, and business readiness needs to support successful implementation of new MATRiX processes, tools, and ways of working.\nFacilitate communication, status updates, readiness discussions, stakeholder check-ins, and escalation support to ensure alignment, accountability, and timely follow-up.\nPlan and coordinate training delivery activities, including schedules, participant readiness, instructor preparation, logistics, communications, and post-training feedback.\nDrive collaboration with cross-functional teams to address training priorities, stakeholder concerns, lessons learned, and continuous improvement opportunities.\nRecommend updates to training processes, delivery methods, materials, or readiness approaches based on project progress, stakeholder feedback, and adoption needs.\nProvide backup support to other roles within the department, as needed.\nParticipate in special projects and other duties as assigned.\n Education, Certifications/Licenses:\nRequired:\nBachelor’s degree in Education, Project Management, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Learning Technologies, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.\nPreferred:\nAdvanced degree.\nLearning & Development, Human Resources, Change Management, or Project Management certification.\nExperience in training development and facilitation within the utility, field operations, GIS, asset management, or mobile workforce technology environment, including creating and delivering programs that support operational processes and technology adoption.\nWork Experience:\nRequired:\n3-5 years of experience in the utility industry or related industries.\n3-5 years of experience in operations training, technical training, learning and development, workforce development, or a related field.\n2-4 years of experience working in a project environment.\nExperience coordinating training deliverables, schedules, stakeholders, milestones, risks, and cross-functional project activities.\nDemonstrated formal or informal leadership experience leading projects, initiatives, teams, or work groups.\nStrong facilitation, presentation, organizational, and project management skills.\nStrong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.\nDemonstrated ability to prioritize work, manage multiple assignments, and meet established deadlines.\nStrong skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and other presentation software.\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining strong attention to detail.\nExperience managing multiple tasks and deliverables in a cross-functional team environment while working with diverse project leaders across business units and companies.\nPreferred:\n2-4 years of project management experience.\nExperience supporting business readiness, change management, testing coordination, or implementation activities.\nKnowledge of utility business processes, operational workflows, asset management, mobile workforce technology, or enterprise technology solutions.\nExperience using, supporting, or partnering with business-related systems and applications such as Click, Gas Maximo, GCMA, CCB, Power BI, GLOBE, or similar enterprise technology platforms.\nExperience in natural gas operations, utility operations, safety, compliance, or workforce qualification programs.\nKnowledge of adult learning principles and performance-based training methodologies.\nExperience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning technologies.\nExperience influencing and coordinating project team members without formal direct reporting relationships.\nExperience supporting process improvement, system enhancements, and strategic initiative implementation.\nExperience contributing to project environments with a focus on delivering results within established budgets and timeframes.\nUnderstanding of general business management practices and techniques with a focus on continuous improvement and learning.\nFlexibility to support various tasks and adapt to shifting priorities in a dynamic work environment.\nBehavioral Attributes\nModels Our Values of Unquestionable Trust, Superior Performance, and Total Commitment.\nEthical Behavior: Is widely trusted;
