The Shore Tankerman will perform the duties of a tankerman to the best of their ability and within the requirements of local, state, and federal regulations. The Shoreside Tankerman will conduct themselves in a professional manner while performing their duties. Will be located from the Decatur, AL to Pensacola, FL area.\nKey Responsibilities:\nResponsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of loading and offloading barges.\nRequired to be available to work 24 hours on-call schedule.\nMust be capable of lifting or moving objects (hoses, fittings, etc.) that may weigh more than 75 pounds.\nMay be required to ascend/descend portable ladders and/or fixed stairs.\nMust have reading skills that enable one to understand operating manuals, emergency response procedures, U.S. Coast Guard regulations and other pertinent information.\nMust possess proper writing skills to complete logs, records, and timesheets in a clear and legible manner.\nMust wear safety equipment as required and ensure safe working conditions and good housekeeping of the vessel.\nMust have the ability to work outside in environmental conditions which can include extreme heat and cold.\nMust abide by facility, customer, and company policies and procedures.\nMust be familiar and abide by procedures, policies, regulations, and guidelines applicable not only to government regulations, but to customers as well.\nRequired Skills/Abilities:\nKnowledge of office management systems and procedures\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nExcellent interpersonal and customer service skills.\nMust be an HSE Leader.\nAdhere to company policies and procedures.\nMust be able to lead by example in demonstrating the correct behavior in implementing the tankering program.\nPossess high levels of attention to detail, discernment, and good judgement.\nAbility to train Tankerman Trainees\nPerform job hazard analysis.\nAttend safety meetings\nAbility to influence teams.\nAbility to prioritize and work within a dynamic and constantly changing environment.\nPhysical Requirements:\nProlonged periods of standing and walking.\nMust be able to ascend/descend portable ladders and/or fixed stairs.\nMust be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times. \nMinimum Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\n3-5 years of Direct industry experience.\nOperational experience.\nDemonstrate computer skills: proficient with MS office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)\nGood work ethics, positive attitude and team player\nSkills Required:\n3 years progressive experience as U.S. Coast Guard licensed tankerman.\nPossess a valid and current driver’s license.\nAbility to pass annual physicals, drug screens and fit tests.\nHold a current certification as a USCG licensed tankerman (DL and/or LG- both is preferred).\nExcellent leadership, interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.\nAbility to maintain successful working
