The Floor Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective functioning of the regional distribution center (RDC), meeting customer requirements, and maintaining a high standard of operational excellence.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities:\nExecute the daily operational plan in accordance with the site leadership teams guidance and direction.\nSchedule, assign, and perform various warehousing duties including loading and unloading trucks, put-away, and picking, maintaining warehouse organization and cleanliness.\nLead, motivate, and direct the lift truck operators and auditors to deliver best-in-class customer service through operational excellence.\nProvide coaching and leadership to all forklift operations and auditors, ensures the company's culture, values, and processes are upheld.\nFoster team environment that motivates, inspires, educates, and empowers our team members to reach their full potential.\nEffectively leading through clear, direct, and respectful communication.\nSupport and drive inventory management program and audit station using warehouse management system (SAP).\nIdentify, report, and fix damaged inventory and shortages throughout the day.\nInterface and communicate with customers, employees, and leadership team within Southshore Companies.\nDrive continuous improvement through lean thinking and 5S mentality.\nSuccessfully operates a power industrial forklift by moving levers, pressing pedal, and controlling lifting apparatus.\nPerforms daily forklift inspections and follow forklift operating guidelines.\nAssist site leadership team to train forklift operators to perform his/her assigned work to the highest standards of excellence.\nAdhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while operating forklift trucks.\nReplaces forklift propane tank and/or charge batteries, as needed.\nReport any equipment malfunctions and participate in regular safety training.\nDrive a culture centered around safety as a number one priority by ensuring a clean and organized working environment.\nPerforms all duties in accordance with Southshore Companies safety manual.\nRegular (punctual and dependable) attendance is an essential function of this job.\nOther duties as assigned.\nEducation & Experience:\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\n3 plus years of warehouse supervision experience required; additional education may be substituted for years of work experience.\nPowered Industrial Forklift Truck License is highly preferred.\nPrior SAP scanning experience is a plus.\nInventory control experience preferred.\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:\nLeadership &management skills: ability to lead, assign work, and motivate LTOs to deliver exceptional performance.\nAbility to read, write, count and perform basic math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.\nRequires initiative and ability to work independently and in a team setting.\nKnowledge of safety regulations and guidelines for material handling equipment.\nAbility to talk, listen, understand and follow directions.\nGood written and verbal communication skills.\nBilingual is a highly preferred skill for this position.\nKnowledge and experience using a forklift and SAP inventory scanning system.\nComfortable with Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) products.\nComputer skills are preferred.\nAbility to set priorities and flexibly to reset priorities in a changing environment.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity targets.\nAbility to pay attention to details and accuracy in inventory control.\nGood organizational skills.\nMechanical aptitude skills are required.\nAbility to meet deadlines.\nAbility to work Monday - Friday plus overtime including some Saturdays as needed by the business (especially during peak season - January through April).\nWork Environment & Physical Demands:\nFrequently required to lift and/or move up to 10lbs.\nOccasionally required to lift and/or move up to 60lbs.\nRegularly required to talk and/or hear to communicate with management, supervisors, employees, customers, and/or truck drivers.\nManual dexterity is required for operating machinery.\nFrequently required to bend, twist, turn, kneel, and/or squat.\nFrequently required to stand and/or walk on the concrete warehouse floor.\nFrequently required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.\nFrequently required to reach with hands and arms.\nSpecific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.\nMust be able to work in various weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with a warehouse.\nSafety equipment includes but not limited to a hi-vis safety best or shirt, safety glasses, gloves, closed toe shoes, long sleeves, long pants, above ankle socks, and masks (as needed).\nPay & Bonus Opportunity:\n$21.00 + per hour.\nSeasonal bonus program of $1.00-$2.00 on top of your hourly wage from November-April each year.\nShift:\n7AM-3:30PM April - November\nSplit shifts from November-April;
