Here, your career can truly take flight.\nJob Summary\nSouthwest’s DevOps Tooling & Pipelines Pod builds and runs the platforms that help teams create, secure, store, and deploy software. Its enterprise services include Nexus Repository, SonarQube, Amazon ECR, CI/CD pipelines, cloud-native deployment platforms, and automation that accelerates delivery while strengthening software supply chain controls.\n\nAs Cloud DevOps Engineer, you’ll help build and support secure, reusable platform capabilities across Git-based or Jenkins pipelines, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes or ECS, and Infrastructure as Code. You’ll contribute to automated quality gates, vulnerability and secrets management, access controls, developer self-service, and reliable platform operations. Along the way, you’ll develop hands-on experience solving observability, performance, availability, and deployment challenges that directly affect engineering teams across Southwest.\n\nDesign and build enterprise cloud infrastructure automation, pipeline automation and cloud capabilities used by the enterprise. Partner with application, security, and architecture teams to build re-usable and secure cloud infrastructure to be used by business applications. Knowledge of cloud computing industry trends and apply that knowledge to continually innovate and evolve the enterprise cloud platform.\nResponsibilities\nOperate in a DevOps culture and team, responsible for architecture, design, development, implementation, and ongoing operations of new and emerging technology platforms\nImplement automation tools and frameworks for automatic code deployment (CI/CD)\nLead the design, development, and evolution of cloud infrastructure\nEstablish and/or follow procedures and standards to ensure high quality and quantity of work\nEstablish or follow prioritization processes to drive work and has a sense of urgency about getting work completed\nConsult with stakeholders to specify requirements and solutions which address business challenges and opportunities\nServe as a subject matter expert in cloud infrastructure, performing design reviews and consulting with your teams to ensure design best practices\nMaintain business continuity and disaster recovery processes\nParticipate in system and acceptance testing to ensure that systems are functionally appropriate, technically sound, and well-integrated\nTest and implement system and enhancements using techniques that preserve system integrity\nMay perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nKnowledge of AWS Infrastructure as a Service Automation tools like Cloud Formation\nKnowledge of AWS compute, data sources, security technologies\nKnowledge of infrastructure-as-code (IAC)\nSkilled in deployment strategies using Docker for containerization\nSkilled in monitoring tools\nAbility to mentor and guide team members' learning, including introducing new ideas and technologies\nAbility to anticipate business needs and lead a team towards identifying and solving cross-domain problems\nEducation\nRequired: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field and/or equivalent formal training\nExperience\nRequired: Intermediate-level experience, fully functioning broad knowledge in Cloud software or DevOps\n2-5 years of relevant work-related experience\nGit-based CI/CD pipelines\n\nAWS;
