This is a hands-on Dev testing role in the financial domain, working closely with development and product colleagues, including teammates across the globe.\nResponsibilities and Impact:\nBuild and execute automated and manual tests across UI, data, and API layers, switching between the two as team needs require\nCreate, review, and recommend test plans, strategies, and test case documentation\nIdentify, build, and run automated regression and smoke suites\nLog and prioritize defects, and report quality status and progress to management\nTake part in Agile ceremonies and release planning, raising quality topics within the team\nWork closely with development and product teams, and with colleagues across the globe, to meet delivery deadlines while gaining exposure to the financial markets domain\nWhat We’re Looking For:\nBasic Required Qualifications:\n6+ years of experience testing applications with automation frameworks, with a strong understanding of SDLC and hands-on Agile/Scrum experience\nHands-on automation and white-box testing using Java or Python, plus API testing (REST, Swagger, JavaScript/Node.js)\nAutomation across the testing pyramid (unit, service layer, UI) and strong test design techniques such as boundary value analysis and equivalence partitioning\nBasic SQL query skills and experience with Git or similar source control\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nStrong analytical and creative problem-solving skills\nSelf-starter who works independently with minimal supervision and stays focused on delivery\nCollaborates effectively with globally distributed teams\nAdditional Preferred Qualifications:\nAutomation experience with Selenium or Playwright\nExposure to AWS and BDD\nExperience with CI tools (GitHub, etc.) and full-stack testing from database through service layer to UI\nBasic financial market knowledge, especially CDS\n\nAbout S&P Global Market Intelligence\nAt S&P Global Market Intelligence, a division of S&P Global we understand the importance of accurate, deep and insightful information.
