improve automation coverage. \nImprove build/release reliability; reduce cycle time; implement guardrails (quality gates, vulnerability scanning as applicable).\n Security, compliance, and risk management\nEmbed secure engineering practices (threat modelling participation, secure coding standards, dependency hygiene). \nEnsure appropriate handling of secrets/credentials, least-privilege access, and auditability. \nIdentify technical risks early (data migration risk, downtime, coupling, unknown dependencies) and drive mitigation plans.\nWhat We’re Looking For:\nBasic Qualification:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering is required, or in lieu, a demonstrated equivalence in work experience. \n(5 -7 ) years of IT experience in application development and support. \nStrong Experience with Java, J2EE, JMS including Spring Framework\nStrong experience with Microsoft .Net C# \nStrong experience with Microsoft .Net C# MVC web applications \nStrong Experience with Advanced SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL programming \nBasic networking knowledge / Unix scripting \nMinimum 1-2 years of experience in minimum three of following.\nAdvanced Python\nAdvanced Scala\nReact JS\nInfrastructure/ CICD/DevOps\nBig data / AWS Cloud / Micro services\nBig data processing engines using scala / python/java and HDFS\nGood understanding of AWS cloud (EC2, EMR, Lambda, S3, Glue, etc.)\nAnsible / Fortify / Jenkins\nQA Automation (cucumber , selenium , karate etc)\nExposure to addressing Vulnerabilities\nPreferred Qualification:\nExperience working with large datasets in Equity, Commodities, Forex, Futures and Options asset classes. \nExperience with Index/Benchmarks or Asset Management or Trading platforms. \nBasic Knowledge of User Interface design & development using JQuery, HTML5 & CSS.\nAbout S&P GlobalDow Jones Indices\nAt S&P Dow Jones Indices, we provideiconic and innovative index solutions backed by unparalleled expertiseacross the asset-class spectrum.
