Our core functions span DevOps, DevSecOps, FinOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Developer Experience (DevEx). We partner with divisional DevOps/TechOps teams and Information Security (InfoSec) to establish consistent controls and governance across the software development lifecycle (SDLC). As a globally distributed team, we build services, policies and automated controls that secure the developer toolchain while keeping platforms simple, consistent and engineer friendly.\nThe Impact\nYou will embed security governance into the software delivery lifecycle by translating requirements into clear policies and automated controls. Your work will protect source control, CI/CD pipelines, build infrastructure and the software supply chain without creating unnecessary friction for engineers. You will strengthen credentials, secrets and non-human identity governance; drive security findings through to remediation; and contribute to AI-assisted development governance and developer endpoint security. Working with platform teams, divisional DevOps/TechOps teams and Business Information Security Officers (BISOs), you will support audit and compliance and make secure practices the default across S&P Global.\nWhat’s in It for You\nHelp shape how thousands of engineers build and ship software securely. You will work hands-on with enterprise security tooling and emerging areas such as AI tool governance and policy as code. You will own controls end to end, from policy design to automated enforcement, and collaborate with InfoSec, audit and engineering leaders. We support your growth through innovation projects, training, certification support and knowledge sharing.\nResponsibilities\nDefine and implement baseline security policies and automated guardrails across source control and CI/CD environments. \nIntegrate, manage and tune code quality and application security tools, including SonarQube, GitHub Advanced Security (GHAS), Checkmarx and Wiz, within developer workflows. \nTriage security findings, prioritise vulnerabilities by risk and track remediation against service-level agreements (SLAs). \nEstablish governance for credentials, secrets and non-human identities across the developer toolchain. \nHarden build infrastructure and software supply chain controls, including artifact management with JFrog Artifactory/Xray. \nProvision, secure and optimise AWS services supporting the developer platform, including EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, IAM and CloudFormation/CDK. \nContribute to governance for AI-assisted development tools and developer endpoint security. \nMonitor sensitive configuration changes, implement alerting and support audit and compliance activities. \nPartner with platform and engineering teams to automate security controls and drive adoption. \nWhat We’re Looking For\n5-8 years of experience in DevSecOps, application security or security governance. \nStrong experience designing and automating enterprise-scale CI/CD pipelines, with an understanding of source control security and common pipeline threats. \nHands-on knowledge of GitHub Enterprise Cloud, GitHub Actions, runners, rulesets and policies. \nStrong understanding of repository lifecycle management and Git practices, including Conventional Commits, semantic versioning, trunk-based development/GitFlow and pull request workflows. \nHands-on experience with static application security testing (SAST), software composition analysis (SCA), secrets scanning or cloud security tools. \nAbility to write clear security policies and standards and translate them into technical enforcement. \nKnowledge of identity and access management, including single sign-on (SSO), role-based access control (RBAC) and least privilege. \nProficiency with infrastructure as code, including Terraform, CloudFormation or CDK, and familiarity with configuration management tools. \nExperience with AWS compute, networking, storage, IAM and container orchestration (ECS/EKS), including AWS security practices. \nStrong scripting and automation skills in Python or Bash; familiarity with TypeScript/Node.js. \nUnderstanding of configuration management databases (CMDBs) and ITIL-aligned change management, including approvals and audit trails. \nAwareness of AI tool governance and developer endpoint security, including mobile device management (MDM). \nStrong communication skills and the ability to influence adoption across engineering teams. \nNice to Have\nExperience with AI-assisted development tools, including GitHub Copilot and Cursor IDE, and developer agents/MCP integrations. \nContributions to open-source Backstage plugins or internal developer platform (IDP) ecosystems. \nFamiliarity with compliance as code and policy engines such as OPA or Sentinel. \nAWS certifications, such as Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer, or Kubernetes certifications (CKA/CKAD). \nSecurity certifications, such as CSSLP, Security+ or AWS Security. \nTechnical Environment\nSource Control & CI/CD Security: GitHub Enterprise security features, GitHub Actions hardening, OIDC and GitHub Apps\nApplication Security: SAST/SCA tooling, including Checkmarx, SonarQube and GHAS\nCloud & Container Security: Wiz or similar cloud security posture management (CSPM) and vulnerability tools\nSoftware Supply Chain: Artifactory/Xray or similar tooling, software bills of materials (SBOMs) and artifact signing\nSecrets & Identity: Vault or other secrets managers, Okta or similar tooling, and non-human identity governance\nRunners & Endpoints: Runner hardening tools and MDM\nAI Governance: Copilot controls, MCP and agent guardrails\nMonitoring: Splunk or similar security information and event management (SIEM) tooling\nAutomation & Cloud Security: Python, Bash, Terraform and AWS security (IAM, KMS)\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree or higher in a technology-related field.\nWhat’s In It For You?\nOur Mission: \nAdvancing Essential Intelligence.\nOur People:\nWe're more than 35,000 strong worldwide-so we're able to understand nuances while having a broad perspective.
