If you are keen to uphold world-class grid reliability and drive a sustainable future for all, join us and make your mark in the energy industry today!\nWhat You'll Do\nDevelop, review and maintain technical specifications, engineering standards and design requirements for transmission equipment, power cable systems, substations and associated transmission assets.\nConduct feasibility studies, conceptual planning, technical assessments and engineering design reviews for transmission network development, asset replacement and enhancement projects.\nPrepare and execute tender exercises, including technical evaluations, tender clarifications and recommendations for contract award.\nReview and approve engineering drawings, technical submissions, inspection and test plans, manufacturing documents and commissioning procedures to ensure compliance with technical specifications and industry standards.\nAttend and witness Type Tests, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), factory audits and factory inspections to verify equipment quality, technical compliance and contractual requirements.\nInvestigate equipment faults, system failures and operational incidents, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and recommend corrective and preventive actions to improve asset reliability and performance.\nProvide technical support throughout the project lifecycle, including design reviews, installation, testing, commissioning, energisation and technical troubleshooting.\nCoordinate with government agencies, consultants, OEMs, contractors and internal stakeholders on engineering, regulatory, utility coordination, wayleave and Integrated Planning Approval (IPA) matters.\nManage engineering consultants and specialist studies to ensure quality, timely delivery and compliance with engineering requirements.\nEvaluate new technologies, engineering solutions and international best practices to enhance transmission system reliability, safety, sustainability and asset lifecycle performance.\nDevelop and review engineering policies, technical guidelines and standard specifications to strengthen engineering governance and asset management.\nProvide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the Transmission Engineering team.\nWhat You'll Need\nDegree in Electrical Engineering recognised by the Professional Engineers Board Singapore, preferably with a specialisation in Power Engineering.\nRelevant experience in transmission engineering, high-voltage equipment, power cable systems, substations or electrical infrastructure.\nKnowledge of transmission systems, engineering standards (IEC, IEEE and CIGRE), technical specifications and engineering design principles.\nExperience in technical specifications, tender evaluation, engineering design reviews, Type Tests, FAT, commissioning or engineering investigations will be an advantage.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.\nSelf-motivated, proactive and able to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.\nA collaborative team player committed to engineering excellence, safety and continuous improvement.\nWhat We'll Provide:\nYou will have mentorship opportunities with technical experts in various engineering specializations\n\nYou will contribute to the success of upholding our world-class network reliability and drive sustainability\n\nWe are one of the few companies with the largest number of Professional Engineers in Singapore\n\nPlease click on the blue 'Apply' button at the top right hand side corner of this screen, if you are keen to apply for this job.\nThank you for your interest in SP Group.
