Tomorrow, we will power checkout-free experiences anywhere you go to make the everyday experiences of living, working, and playing remarkable - giving us back our most valuable asset, time.\nResponsibilities\nThe Assistant Fleet Manager will report directly to the local Facility Managers and will be responsible for the management and coordination of maintenance for a fleet of transit vehicles. The Assistant Fleet Manager will help the scheduling and review of all vehicle maintenance with reviewing all repair details and costs. Included with the maintenance will be control of roadside response efforts and overseeing of all regulatory compliance inspections of the organizations fleet. The Assistant Fleet Manager will work in tandem with our operations team to ensure timely and efficient maintenance of the programs fleet while ensuring vehicles are available for day-to-day operational needs.\nWhat you'll do\nAssist in oversee maintenance of all buses and service vehicles.\nAssist in overseeing staffing needs, including selection, training, scheduling, and evaluation of employee performance. Provide input into disciplinary action, compensation, and promotion.\nCoordinate with Safety Manager to train staff of all safety procedures and maintain regular safety meetings. Monitor safe workplace environment.\nWork with area operations managers to ensure shop performance and cost focus efficiency across the department.\nPerform parts ordering and inventory management, including purchase and work orders.\nTrack and report information related to EPA, Air Pollution Control District, CARB compliance, IRP registration, Heavy Vehicle Use Tax, CHP-BIT, OSHA, Clean-Air grants, Emissions, Fuel & mileage usage, Driver Logs, etc.\nOversee and process Pre- and Post-trip inspections.\nInterface with various departments, supervisors and third party Insurance representatives.\nDirect and support large purchase decisions of company trucks and equipment.\nAssist with development of annual budget and work within those parameters to track and forecast spending.\nOther duties or projects as needed.\nQualifications\nWhat you need\nMust possess strong communication and organization skills, and communicate effectively with other departments.\nProficient knowledge of computers and software such as inventory tracking software, Excel, Outlook and Word.\nLicense Requirement: Per DOT Regulations, you will be required to have and maintain a valid CDL Class A, B or C Driver’s License depending on the location's hiring needs, with Passenger Endorsement if you will be responsible for operating shuttle buses with a passenger capacity of 15 passengers or more. \n DOT Medical Card: A Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required. \nMust have previous diesel mechanical experience.\nAbility to lead and manage people.\nAbility to manage an inventory system.\nKnowledge of DOT regulations\nEssential Physical Requirements include\nStandard office environment requiring sitting at desk with some bending, stooping, walking\nHours/Schedules are determined based on Region and Customer Needs and in compliance with any regulations; on average - must be able to perform the above for at least 8 hours per day 5 days per week.\nSalary Range: $76,000 annually\nBenefits: Eligible employees will participate in the various benefits plans including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, long/short term disability, life insurance, accident insurance, 401k and paid time off.\nSP+ is an equal opportunity employer committed in policy and practice to recruit, hire, train, and promote, in all job classifications, without regard to race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, age, national origin, citizenship status, marital status, sexual orientation, veteran status, gender identity, disability or other classes protected by federal or state law.
