Tomorrow, we will power checkout-free experiences anywhere you go to make the everyday experiences of living, working, and playing remarkable - giving us back our most valuable asset, time.\nResponsibilities\nThe Field Safety Manager provides professional knowledge and expertise in the administration and support of safety programs. The Field Safety Manager will coordinate with the Corporate Safety function in the creation of regional safety programs and assist the regional leadership in the implementation of these programs throughout the region. The primary job function of the Field Safety Manager is to reduce claims through onsite visits that determine the root causes of losses analysis and solution implementation.\n\nIn coordination with the Corporate Safety function, this role will:\n\nEnsure compliance with SP+ safety policies and all applicable federal, state and local regulations governing environmental health and safety. \nAnalyze risk information to identify trends, develop necessary programs, prioritize initiatives, and evaluate performance.\nServe as the day-to-day Safety resource for designated region.\nRemain familiar with safety policies and procedures in order to conduct hazard and risk assessments and, where necessary make recommendations to senior management. \nTrack and analyze ongoing safety, conduct periodic evaluations and provide safety statistics and performance metrics.\nManage the region’s vehicle telematics initiative (SmartDrive).\nDevelop and deliver safety and health related training in accordance with SP+’s requirements. \nEnsure information on incidents is shared adequately across the region. \nConduct (or coordinate) on site reviews of accident scenes, collect pertinent data and information; interview involved parties/witnesses; document and report findings.\nContinually seek opportunities to improve the knowledge and skill of the regional management in order to improve systems and positively impact the safe operations of the business. \nPromote safety awareness in the region.\nChampion regional safety initiatives and policies and ensure their implementation.\nTrack all regional claims and produce reports as needed.\nEnsure all SP+ employees in the region have completed the proper safety training.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree required, preferably in Occupational Safety or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience for other college majors.\n4+ years of safety & health compliance experience or equivalent operational experience is required. \nCreative thinker with the ability to translate complex ideas and metrics into simple, actionable recommendations.\nAbility to analyze workplace incidents and suggest alternative methods to prevent injury in the future.\nSkilled at obtaining and processing information and providing actionable feedback to the organization. \nStrong analytical, logical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong project management and organizational skills, with high attention to detail.\nExcellent written and verbal communications skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and Google software applications. \nSalary Range: $60,000-$75,000 per year\nBenefits: Eligible employees will participate in the various benefits plans including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, long/short term disability, life insurance, accident insurance, 401k and paid time off.\nSP+ is an equal opportunity employer committed in policy and practice to recruit, hire, train, and promote, in all job classifications, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, citizenship status, marital status, sexual orientation, veteran status, disability or other classes protected by federal or state law.
