This role is ideal for candidates with a broad technical foundation across multiple engineering disciplines, strong analytical and communication skills, and a desire to contribute to team-based problem-solving in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.\nThe Strategic & Military Space Division delivers advanced satellite and sensor systems that support the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. Become part of a team dedicated to making a tangible contribution to our nation’s defense capabilities.\nKey Responsibilities\nLeads or independently executes systems engineering activities throughout the system lifecycle, including requirements development, architecture, design, integration, verification, validation, and test\nIdentifies and manages technical risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies\nCreates and maintains programmatic and technical documentation required for effective planning, execution, and technical reviews\nCoordinates engineering activities to ensure technical deliverables satisfy requirements and remain aligned with program objectives\nProvides systems engineering oversight of design, integration, verification, and test activities\nAdvises Program Managers and engineering leadership on technical requirements, system impacts, risks, alternatives, and execution considerations\nServes as a technical interface with customers, stakeholders, vendors, and subcontractors as appropriate\nLeads portions of technical reviews and support proposal and planning activities\nProvides technical guidance and mentoring to less-experienced engineers\nSupports technical planning by providing inputs to program cost, schedule, staffing, and resource estimates\nRequired Qualifications:\nMust be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain US Government security clearance\nBachelor’s in engineering or related science and 8-15 years of relevant experience or a master’s and 6-13 years of relevant experience\nStrong working knowledge of systems engineering processes across the system lifecycle\nDemonstrated experience with requirements development and verification, system architecture, interface management, risk management, configuration management, and trade studies\nAbility to evaluate technical alternatives and understand their impacts on system performance, cost, schedule, risk, and implementation\nProficiency with systems engineering tools and analysis methods \nAbility to provide technical direction and influence engineering teams without requiring direct supervisory authority\nExperience supporting technical planning, cost estimating, and schedule development \nStrong organization and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple technical priorities\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders\nDemonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams\nAbility to travel as required\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExisting TS/SCI clearance\nExperience implementing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and processes\nExperience leading small- to medium-sized multidisciplinary engineering teams or technical efforts\nExperience with small satellite programs including risk mitigations, hardware development, and testing\nUnderstanding of the space environment\nSalary Range:\n$110,000-$175,000\nThis range serves as a general guideline and may vary based on factors such as role, level, location, market conditions, and individual qualifications, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
