We build on the latest and greatest technology, and we've successfully woven AI and automation into everything we do.\n\nPosition Summary:\nThe Cyber Security Analyst is primarily responsible for the monitoring, detection, analysis, and response to cybersecurity threats affecting organizational systems, networks, identities, and cloud platforms.\n\nThis role focuses on hands-on security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, and continuous improvement of technical security controls to protect information assets and reduce cyber risk.\n\nKnowledge of governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) activities - including industry frameworks and regulatory requirements - is considered a valuable asset (“nice to have”), supporting collaboration with audit, legal, and risk stakeholders when required, but not the primary focus of the role.\n\nWhat you’ll be doing:\n\nMonitor, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity alerts and incidents escalated through our SOCaaS/MDR provider and internal security tools.\n\nCoordinate cybersecurity investigations, containment activities, and remediation efforts with our Security Operations Center (SOCaaS/MDR) provider while maintaining ownership of internal response activities and business risk decisions.\n\nConduct vulnerability assessments and work with IT teams to prioritize and remediate security findings.\n\nSupport cloud, endpoint, network, and identity security initiatives, including Entra ID, IAM/PAM, MFA, and least-privilege controls.\n\nAnalyze emerging threats and recommend improvements to strengthen the organization's security posture.\n\nParticipate in security reviews for projects, technology changes, and new solutions. \n\nProtect customer information, payment-related systems, and business-critical services by identifying, assessing, and mitigating cybersecurity risks in a rapidly growing Fintech environment.\n\nSupport security awareness initiatives and contribute to audit and compliance activities as needed.\n\nWhat We're Looking For \n\n3-5+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, threat detection, vulnerability management, or related security disciplines.\n\nPostsecondary education in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.\n\nExperience working with SIEM, EDR/XDR, vulnerability management, and security monitoring solutions.\n\nStrong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat analysis, and incident response methodologies.\n\nExperience in Fintech, financial services, payment processing, or another regulated industry.\n\nExperience working with AWS, Microsoft Defender, Azure, and Entra ID.\n\nFamiliarity with PCI DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, PIPEDA, or related frameworks. \n\nSecurity certifications such as Security+, SC-200, AZ-500, CISSP, or CISA.\n\nKnowledge of cloud security, endpoint security, networking, and identity and access management concepts.\n\nStrong analytical, investigative, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. \n\nAbility to clearly communicate technical security findings to non-technical stakeholders.\n\nHigh attention to detail with disciplined documentation habits.\n\nCollaborative mindset with the ability to work across IT, security, and business teams.\n\nComfortable working independently while escalating appropriately based on risk and impact.\n\nCompensation & Perks\n\n$85,000 – $105,000 Annual Compensation\n\nAnnual Bonus\n\nRRSP and DPSP\n\nHealth & Dental Benefits\n\nHealth & Wellness Spending Accounts\n\nPerkopolis Staff Discount\n\nOn-Site Gym + Fitness Membership Concessions\n\nCoffee Bar with Barista + Unlimited Snacks\n\nMonthly Events, Friday Lunches & Daily Breakfast\n\nProfessional Growth & Development Opportunities\n\nDiversity, Equity & Inclusion Statement\nAt Space Ops, we believe that diverse perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds drive innovation and strengthen our ability to serve our customers and communities.
