This senior-level position is suited for professionals with extensive experience and specialized expertise in areas such as power systems, control systems, EWIS, CD&H, or similar fields. Responsibilities include working on advanced projects, collaborating with a diverse team of engineers and technicians, and contributing to the development of innovative solutions. The role also involves mentoring less experienced engineers and technicians, acting as the technical lead for specialized projects, and staying updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering.\nIn this role, you will lead the design and development of highly complex electrical components and systems, while modifying and evaluating existing electrical systems and components to improve performance and efficiency. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical designs meet project requirements and standards, conduct tests and simulations to validate the performance of electrical systems and components, and document design processes, test results, and modifications for future reference. Providing advanced technical support and troubleshooting assistance for electrical systems and components will be a key responsibility, as will staying updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and applying new knowledge to ongoing projects. You will participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning and progress discussions, while mentoring and providing guidance to less experienced engineers and technicians. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nRequires Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree or Masters +6 yrs experience).\nTypically 8+ years of related experience.\nSpecialized expertise in a particular area (e.g., power systems, control systems, EWIS, CD&H, etc).\nIn-depth knowledge of relevant industry standards.\nAdvanced knowledge of electrical and avionic systems architectures and their design.\nAbility to troubleshoot and solve more complex problems.\nAbility to provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced engineers.\nAbility to work with minimal supervision on projects involving both small and large engineering teams.\nKnowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation.\nKnowledge of systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles.\nExperience performing trade studies to support subsystem architecture decisions.\nAn active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance is required\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience serving as a Responsible Engineer (RE), driving hardware through its lifecycle, including development, qualification, integration & Test, Verification & Validation, and certification.\nHighly proficient in electrical design software such as Capital, AutoCAD Electrical, Altium Designer, or similar tools.\nExperience with simulation software like SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, Hyperlynx or similar.\nExperience in PCB design and layout.\nAdvanced understanding of power electronics and control systems.\nExperience with microcontrollers, embedded systems or FPGA design.\nAbility to perform advanced circuit analysis and troubleshooting using tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.\nProficient in programming languages such as C/C++ or Python for embedded systems development.\nProven experience in project management and the ability to lead large and complex projects.\nStrong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.\nCompensation :\nPay Range:\n$137,443.00 - $188,983.00\nYour actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.\nIMPORTANT NOTICE:\nThis position requires current/active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance.
