Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.\nSECURITY ENGINEER (OT)\nSpaceX is looking for a Security Engineer (OT) to join Information Security to help protect and drive the SpaceX mission.\nInformation drives our business. We must protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and processes across the enterprise, and defend against loss of control or confidence in our systems.\nThis role secures Operational Technology (OT) networks that support launch, vehicle, test, and production, including rockets. You will write software, automate on-prem and data center networking, and produce architectures. This is hands-on security software and network engineering.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nDesign, implement, and operate security for OT networks supporting launch, vehicle, test, and production.\nDesign network and security architectures and produce diagrams and design documentation.\nWrite and deploy software that runs in OT and on-prem network environments.\nAutomate on-prem and data center networking.\nImplement network segmentation and access control in OT environments.\nMonitor, detect, and respond to security issues on OT networks.\nPartner with engineering, IT, and site teams.\nDocument architectures, standards, and operating procedures.\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:\nBachelor's degree in computer science or another STEM discipline; OR 2+ years of professional experience in security software development in lieu of a degree.\nExperience with Python, Go, C#, C/C++, or Rust.\nExperience designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or other enterprise / large-scale infrastructure.\nPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:\nShipping and operating services in Python, Go, C++, or Rust.\nOn-prem and data center networking.\nBGP and network automation.\nTerraform and Ansible.\nNetwork and security architecture, including diagrams and design documentation.\nICS, SCADA, DCS, or other industrial control and OT environments.\nNetwork segmentation in production OT or industrial networks.\nADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:\nMust be willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed.\nThis role requires you to be onsite.
