Your expertise will have a direct impact on crucial missions, such as the development of the Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) system, a high-capacity satellite communications backbone for the U.S. Department of Defense, as well as the Mobile User Objective System (MUOS), the U.S. Navy’s next-generation narrowband tactical SATCOM constellation using a cellular-style waveform to provide secure, global mobile voice and data, and Boeing Evolved Strategic SATCOM (ESS), which provides end-to-end engineering, integration, and sustainment services for satellite platforms, payloads, and ground systems across civil and defense space programs.\nPosition Responsibilities :\nParticipate in the full lifecycle development of STE for space applications: system architecture, detailed design, prototyping, integration, verification, and delivery\nCandidates who apply to this position will be assigned a HW or SW development role based on their expertise. You are not expected to be savvy in both:\nHardware : Design and develop custom test solutions based on unit specifications, perform and review detailed circuit designs (power supplies, filters, amplifiers, mixers), build prototypes, and implement test harnesses\nSoftware : architect and develop automation and control software for automated test stations and implement data acquisition and test frameworks. Design, implement, and validate automated test software and data acquisition systems using LabVIEW, TestStand, Python, C#, or equivalent platforms (software-focused applicants should highlight relevant experience)\nSupport design reviews, design controls, configuration management, and execution of verification/qualification test plans to meet space qualification requirements; implement reviewer feedback and corrective actions as directed\nTroubleshoot anomalies during integration, environmental testing, and production; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions in coordination with program leads\nRecommend procurement needs and suggest test equipment purchases to meet technical objectives; assist with equipment selection and evaluation\nContribute technical input to proposals and capture activities, including scope definition, cost and schedule estimates, and risk analyses\nCollaborate with engineers, technicians, and program leads; communicate technical status and risks to stakeholders when requested\nThis position is expected to be 100% onsite.
