All the way from early mission and concept design to on-orbit operational support.\nNorthrop Grumman Space Systems in Linthicum, Maryland is seeking a flight operations engineer to support on-orbit operations and maintenance (O&M) for a constellation of Space RADAR satellites.\nResponsibilities include monitoring, trending, and analyzing satellite and payload telemetry during ops shifts. When not on-shift, responsibilities include system test with on-orbit payloads and/or lab assets (e.g., engineering development units and/or simulators), coding/script development to analyze and interpret payload data for debug/troubleshooting and system performance evaluation, develop/improve/operate custom SW tools during trending, testing, analysis, and operational workflow, and help with discrepancy report adjudication and anomaly resolution.\nThis position can be staffed at level 2 or 3 based on the basic qualifications below.\nBasic Requirements:\nLevel 2: BS in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) with 2 years of work experience in Aerospace or Defense industry development or test; or any relevant experience with MS degree\nLevel 3: BS in STEM with 5 years of relevant experience; or 3 years with MS\nMust have an active Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access.\nCoding skills, preferably MATLAB and/or Python\nWillingness to occasionally work shifts, nights, and weekends\nPreferred Qualifications:\nBS in Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering\nProficiency coding in MATLAB and/or Python\nFamiliarity with RF test environments\nFamiliarity with RADAR operation\nExperience with RADAR integration and test\nExperience conducting on-orbit mission operations and resolving satellite and ground system anomalies\nActive SCI clearance\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $87,600.00 - $131,400.00\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $108,800.00 - $163,200.00\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
