ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY ENGINEER, EHS TRAINING PROGRAMS\nThe Sr EHS Engineer provides business operations support to SpaceX’s operations in focusing on the strategic development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) training programs that enhance operational safety, regulatory compliance, and workforce capability in a dynamic manufacturing environment.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nDesign, develop, and implement comprehensive EHS training curricula, materials, and programs aligned with operational needs, regulatory requirements, and risk reduction priorities.\nConduct training needs assessments, gap analyses, and evaluations of existing programs to identify opportunities for improvement and new content development.\nProvide guidance and feedback to instructor partners for effective training delivery. educational materials, job aids, and awareness resources for employees at all levels.\nCollaborate with operations, engineering, and EHS teams across the organization to solicit feedback, ensure training relevance, and integrate lessons learned from incidents, audits, and performance data.\nManage learning management system (LMS) content, tracking, reporting, and compliance documentation for EHS training completion and effectiveness.\nPartner with internal stakeholders and/or contractors to enhance training delivery methods, tools, and platforms; manage related projects to completion using a disciplined project management framework.\nAnalyze training-related data (completion rates, assessments, incident correlations) to measure program effectiveness, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement; develop dashboards and visualizations as needed.\nArchitect strategic training roadmaps and action plans that support organizational priorities around risk reduction, operational excellence, and EHS maturity.\nIdentify training and competency challenges, lead problem formulation, determine root causes, and implement creative, effective solutions.\nCommunicate effectively with different levels of the organization, including training delivery, content reviews with engineers/SMEs, and presentations to leadership.\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:\nBachelor’s degree.\n5+ years of experience in EHS, manufacturing, operations, program/project management, training, or engineering role.\nPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:\nExperience developing and delivering EHS training programs, preferably in a manufacturing or high-hazard industrial environment.\nKnowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant EHS regulations; familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design.\nTechnical Program Management (TPM) expertise strongly preferred; Project Management Professional (PMP) welcomed.\nProficiency with LMS platforms, MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI).\nAttention to detail, commitment to quality, and ability to multi-task, manage shifting priorities, and follow through on projects with minimal supervision.\nInnovative thinking to drive continuous improvement in training effectiveness and engagement.\nADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:\nWilling to travel to other SpaceX locations when requested.\nAbility to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed.\nITAR REQUIREMENTS:\nTo conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
