IT NETWORK ENGINEER\nSpaceX is looking for an experienced Sr. IT Network Engineer with expertise in networking technologies that support routing, switching, dynamic multicast, Wi-Fi, network access control, and automation. This employee will be a member of the IT Networking & Telecom team, which is responsible for maintaining a stable, reliable, and diverse network. This network supports the design, manufacturing, and launching of rockets, spacecraft, satellites, and human spaceflight. This position will support and expand campus and data center infrastructure, including live data center build environments, using reliable and redundant design standards. The ideal candidate will be a great communicator, able to document work in a ticketing system, excel at multi-tasking, resolve issues to prevent failures, and enjoy a fast-paced high-tech environment.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nImplement, maintain, document, support, and upgrade LAN, WAN, MAN, and WLAN.\nInstall, configure, and support campus and data center networks.\nTroubleshoot wired and wireless networking issues.\nDesign, implement, and troubleshoot large and complex wireless networks.\nSupport network access control (NAC) using 802.1X.\nDevelop network automation tools to support the enterprise network.\nMonitor network health using in-house and third-party tools.\nCreate and maintain documentation of the networks.\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:\nBachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or other STEM discipline and 5+ years of professional network engineering experience; OR 8+ years of professional network engineering experience and high school diploma or equivalency certificate in lieu of a degree.\nPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:\nExpert understanding of the OSI model and network standards.\nCisco Catalyst, Juniper, and Arista data center-class switches.\nCisco wireless LAN controllers or other wireless technologies.\nNetwork Access Control (NAC) using 802.1X.\nWave Division Multiplexing and fiber optics.\nDNS, DHCP, SNMP, IP helpers, ARP, CDP, LLDP.\nBGP routing.\nSwitch port security features.\nNetwork monitoring tools.\nNetwork documentation.\nLinux/Windows system administration.\nPython and Python-based development frameworks.\nSource control tools such as Git or Subversion.\nInfrastructure as code for managing fleets of network devices and servers.\nBuild systems and package management tools.\nTerraform, Ansible, Puppet, or other automation frameworks.\nIndustry-standard certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or JNCIE.\nADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:\nThis role requires you to be onsite.
