Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.\nDIMENSIONAL INSPECTOR - SUPPLY CHAIN\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nSelect and utilize standard gauges to ensure quality\nInspect feature tolerances by selecting the tool with the required accuracy\nPerform complex inspections on purchased mechanical parts, components, assemblies and materials\nResolve nonconformance and documentation issues, support Quality Management System policies and procedure documentation, assess compliance to company and industry standards, initiate and lead continual improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives\nSupport the development of inspection plans at suppliers\nSupport supplier corrective action process, including verifying corrective action implementation\nProvide support to both internal and external stakeholders on SpaceX requirements and inspection processes\nCollaborate with teams, lead projects, and drive continuous improvement of processes both internally and at our suppliers\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:\nHigh school diploma or equivalency certificate\n2+ years of receiving, precision, or metrological inspection experience \nPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:\n1+ years of experience leading a project and/or team\nExperience detecting design, documentation, and drawing flaws\nExperience as an avionics inspector for electro-mechanical components and assemblies such as wire harnesses and PCB/PCBAs\nExperience inspecting composite components and documentation\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications using ASME Y14.5\nLean manufacturing principles such as FIFO, 5S, material flow, etc.\nProficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel\nADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:\nAbility to lift 30 lbs. unassisted\nStanding, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position\nOpen to working all required shift hours, including overtime, and weekends, as needed\nWilling to travel - up to 10-20%\nFrequent travel to suppliers around California required, valid driver’s license mandatory\nCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: \nPay range: \nQuality Inspector/Level 1: $24.00 - $31.00/hour \nQuality Inspector/Level 2: $28.00 - $37.00/hour \nQuality Inspector/Level 3: $33.00 - $43.00/hour \nYour actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.\nBase salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
