Put your creative and organizational skillset to use to support Starlink events, VIP launch campaigns, customer acquisition and retention events, and employee events. Seeking a team player who enjoys a fast-paced work environment and is eager to work with us towards accomplishing our mission.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nPlans and executes special events, tours, and customer experiences from start to finish, including sourcing and coordinating event vendors such as venue, transportation, catering, audiovisual, and entertainment.\nCoordinates conference sponsorship activations and special events, working with internal teams across functions.\nDevelops event agendas, registration landing pages, and invite lists, and communicates directly with high-level executive customers.\nProvides onsite event support, including evening receptions and weekend events.\nDesigns creative branding elements, such as décor, interactive activations, themes, and custom elements, to enhance attendee experiences.\nManages administrative tasks for the department, including supply ordering, budget tracking, payment processing, shipping coordination, and inventory oversight with the fulfillment center.\nUses artificial intelligence (AI) extensively to create efficiencies and automate department processes and workflows, and to streamline the administrative tasks the department carries as part of event planning.\nPartners with the merchandising team on customer and event gifting and branded décor items.\nCoordinates with security teams to facilitate guest security clearances and ensure compliance with Air Force base regulations.\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:\nBachelor’s degree.\n5+ years’ experience in event planning or hospitality.\nPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:\nBachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, event management, hospitality, or related field.\nHands-on experience in all event planning aspects, including but not limited to venue sourcing, event design, vendor procurement, décor, food and beverage, logistics and entertainment.\nComfortable using AI and using it to apply to work related tasks.\nStrong communication skills to ensure high-quality experiences across multiple programs and teams.\nMust be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess a proven ability to thrive under pressure to execute events efficiently.\nAbility to multitask future events while executing current events.\nAbility to travel domestically and remain flexible in schedule as event dates shift.\nStrong proficiency in all Microsoft programs, event diagramming software (Social Tables or similar), event registration platforms (Splash, Eventbrite or similar), SmartSheet or other related organizational tools.\nADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:\nMust be willing to travel often and work extended hours as needed to attend and execute events.\nAbility to pass Air Force and NASA background checks for installation access at Vandenberg and Cape Canaveral Space Force Base.\nITAR REQUIREMENTS:\nTo conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
