Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.\nINTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nAdvise senior executives on communications gaps and opportunities; turn them into plans that keep employees informed, aligned, and engaged\nLead change communications for company-wide and cross-division initiatives so employees understand what is changing, why, and what it means for their work\nBuild a connected, unified culture across divisions, locations, and newly joined teams\nDevelop and lead internal leadership speaking programs (live, filmed, and other formats)\nSet communications strategy and standards so teams use the right tools and channels to reach their audience\nOwn and scale the company intranet for diverse organizations; establish style guides, templates, and practices that raise quality\nManage internal communications in crises\nShape key internal announcements and narratives\nUse AI to scale communications, improve quality, and increase impact\nEnsure internal and external messages are consistent\nDefine how we measure communications and change efforts, and adjust accordingly\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:\nBachelor’s degree\n5+ years of professional experience in business/organizational communications\nPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:\nExperience in internal communications\n10+ years of experience in communications or public relations\nExperience supporting change management\nPractical experience using AI tools to draft, produce, personalize, or scale communications\nExperience building employee communications or engagement across multiple business units or locations\nImpeccable writing skills\nAbility to quickly grasp and synthesize complex issues\nEstablished skills in strategic and critical thinking, decision-making, negotiation, and relationship-building\nHighly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive under deadline pressure while executing multiple projects simultaneously\nExperience working in a fast-paced, dynamic, results-oriented team environment\nExpert self-starter with extreme ownership; identifies what needs to be done and drives it to completion with little direction\nADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:\nAvailable to travel to SpaceX locations as needed (<10%)\nAbility to share writing samples and examples of previous internal communications campaigns, events, or leadership content\nBased on-site in Hawthorne, CA or the Bay Area, CA. Remote or hybrid work will not be considered\nCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:\nPay Range:\nLevel 4: $175,000.00 - $255,000.00\nYour actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.\nBase salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
