Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.\nMANAGER, SITE CIVIL ENGINEERING\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nLead a team of engineers to design and build civil infrastructure.\nLead a project team of engineers and contractors throughout the entirety of civil projects, including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.\nDevelop and issue drawings, design documentation, and reports for industrial and commercial type projects.\nWrite, negotiate, and manage construction contracts across multiple disciplines through contract close-out.\nManage the execution and completion of construction projects.\nInteract with contractors, fabricators, owners, and clients.\nProvide direct onsite engineering inspections and field observations.\nResolve design and construction conflicts in the field in real time.\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:\nBachelor’s degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or other engineering discipline.\n5+ years of professional experience in civil engineering design, analysis, and drafting.\n2+ years of experience in a leadership position.\nPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:\nDemonstrated experience where quick thinking and tangible problem-solving skills play a critical role.\nDemonstrated experience fostering an environment of extremely high personal accountability and responsibility.\nUnderstanding of other disciplines such as: mechanical, electrical, piping, geotechnical, and surveying.\nExperience reading, reviewing, and approving shop and fabrication drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.\nExperience with multi-acre land development projects that includes due diligence, site layout, utilities, drainage, and permitting.\nADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:\nAbility to work in an environment requiring exposure to fumes, odors, and noise.\nMust be available to work extended hours and weekends when needed based on site operational needs.\nDemonstrated ability to work independently.\nOccasional travel may be required based on specific project tasks.\nValid driver’s license.\nITAR REQUIREMENTS:\nTo conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
