This position involves monitoring, tracking, and coordinating parts, workflows, and schedules in a high-stakes aerospace manufacturing environment. The role requires collaboration across planning, procurement, engineering, production, and test teams to maintain data integrity, optimize logistics, and drive efficiency while adhering to SpaceX specifications and safety standards. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and adaptable to multiple shifts in a dynamic setting.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nCreate inventory requests based on production work orders and replacement parts\nMonitor, track, and move parts through the company for timely delivery\nHandle physical movement of parts across receiving inspection, stock rooms, purchasing, production resources, or work centers\nVerify received materials for conformity, damage, part numbers, quantity, and revisions before releasing work orders\nPerform de-kitting operations and manage return to stock process\nSupport inventory personnel with return to stock and purge actions\nMaintain production schedules via planning and shortage management\nPromote workflow consistency and accuracy to reduce internal logistics lead-time\nSupport logistics through innovative staging\nCollaborate with production customers on priorities and schedules\nInterface with engineers and technicians for work order releases\nAssist assigned production cells with work order management\nEnsure proper handling and protection of parts per SpaceX specifications\nManage material certifications to prevent uncertified material use\nCoordinate off-site parts processing for on-time delivery\nSupport purchase requisition creation for scheduled contract work\nCollaborate with planning, procurement, engineering, and production teams to maintain clean MRP/ERP data\nUphold company computer system integrity per procedures\nResolve incorrect system data causing demand, schedule, or failure issues\nReconcile work order bill of material quantities\nUpdate and use metrics to drive results with production personnel\nEnsure completion of metrics-driven actions with supervisors and managers\nDevelop reports on needs, deliverables, and constraints for internal/customer use\nCommunicate part status and completion dates to leadership\nAssist with action item updates for production leadership and project teams\nSupport corrective actions for production teams\nSupport projects and productivity activities in assigned production cells\nAssist with productivity improvements\nProvide action item updates to materials management leadership and project teams as required\nOrganize and maintain physical and electronic libraries for production-related tooling and calibration databases\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:\nHigh school diploma or equivalency certificate\n1+ year(s) of supply chain, inventory, manufacturing, or operations experience\nPREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:\nKnowledge of MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)\nAssociate's degree in a business or technology field\nExperience in aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronic manufacturing environment\nExperience operating forklifts or similar machinery\nAPICS certification, PMP, Six Sigma, or relevant aerospace/manufacturing certifications\nStrong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP/MRP software\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration\nAttention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and compliance\nADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:\nAnticipated hours for this position are: Mon-Fri 6:00 AM-3:30 PM\nAbility to work overtime and weekends as needed\nValid driver’s license\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted\nAbility to work at elevated heights\nAbility to work in extreme outdoor environments - heat, cold, rain, etc.\nAbility to work in an environment requiring exposure to fumes, odors, and noise\nAbility to operate machinery such as forklifts and loaders when needed\nAbility to and available for travel (up to 20% of time), including military and government installations\nITAR REQUIREMENTS:\nTo conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
